re: Kaep
one of his biggest problems is he doesnt go through progressions, AT ALL.
stares down his WRs. not to say alex didnt do that first god knows how many years but...seems like kaep keeps track of only one route, max two routes.
like in the first game he was throwing to aj jenkins all the time, first throw he heaved into triple coverage and aj had to be on some volleyball shyt just to prevent a pick. he made some good throws but all that shyt is really close. dbs are jumping those routes like crazy. and because of weird mechanics it seems the dbs can anticipate the passes well.
alex playing yesterday reminded me why he's alex. its perplexing, his arm isnt bad but theres never zip on ball like kaep's well thrown balls. shyt is never thrown with authority or urgency. its like he takes off some velocity just to be accurate...which hes not still. also too happy to check the ball down an easier route. moss was wide open yesterday and he went to vernon. vd dropped the ball on some
shyt, but not even sure if hed make the first down there. to be fair, a lot of plays that felt rushed, were a result of texans pass rush shytting on the line...alex took the most hits yesterday since...um....the ravens game it felt like.
pass protection was just godawful yesterday. that right side of line will be destroyed times and times by good defensive teams that have legit pass rush. goodwin is also crap at pass protection. iupati is an amazing run blocker but I dont think hes even average at pass blocking. when your best pass protector is staley, u know its finna be shytty.
