diaz was forced into this fight by dana white or at least convinced to take it, because GSP wouldn't come out of retirement to take it and for good reason

nick can take a lot of punishment, but Anderson is going to hurt him bad the level between them is too high, this ain't condit he about to fight even if Anderson is 40, diaz is too small, he's not going to able to take Anderson down at all, he doesn't have the power to knock Anderson out, and he's just not in the same class as anderson
you forget Anderson's chin might be gone, all Nick needs to do is graze his dome and it's lights out party's over

unless anderson has completely fallen the fukk off (his chin in particular), i don't see how nick beats him.

i know silva's a bit slower now, his reflexes aren't what they were and he's coming off a major injury...but to me, he's a guy built to put a beating on nick diaz. i mean, nick walks guys down, throws a ton a punches and pressures guys, no head movement...and anderson is the better stand-up fighter who moves well, attacks from all angles with all weapons, is a beastly counter striker, is dangerous in clinch range (if nick closes in on him and catches him on the fence), etc...i mean, he's got all the tools to beat a guy like nick.

This is Anderson's fight to lose. He holds a significant stylistic advantage, Diaz's fighting style plays right into Anderson's strengths. Anderson will be bigger (solid 15-20 pound weight difference between the two), longer [reach] and taller. For Anderson to lose, he would have to come in looking like a shadow of his former self. Nick, although he doesn't have one-shot KO power, can still finish people. He has that punches in bunches style that will accumulate damage.

Anderson via 2nd round TKO.

I know. The point I'm trying to making is that Weidman hurt/caught him twice.

and the point your making has nothing to do with what we're talking about

nick diaz doesn't have wiedman's power and way less physical

getting wobbled from being hit on the temple doesn't mean you have a weak chin, we haven't seen Anderson get hit on the chin since he was KO'd

the punched that KO'd put him out to the point his body went limp, that didn't happen when Weidman hit him on the temple

Your post: 'He (Anderson) got caught against Weidman in the first fight at that's it'

Me: No, he got caught in the 2nd fight as well.

I never said Nick has comparable power and strength to Weidman.

I understand what you're trying saying though.

its called context I was referring to his chin, because that was the subject, that's why it's not wise to inject into conversations

he only caught on the chin once, and that was in the first fight, they guy said Anderson's chin is gone, and say we do not know that yet because we haven't seen him take a shot on his chin

also anderon's rocked but he was not knocked out cold or the fight would've been over, he wouldn't have been able to continue from that point, so it's not a comparison anyway

I consider the temple and behind the ear area part of a fighter's 'chin'. :yeshrug:
