I bought a Hori Fightstick Mini thinking it'll help me get ok at this game but I'm still trash. Can't get the inputs right on there nor pads
I'm probably not being patient enough practicing...

That said, I have respect for top level pros cos I don't know how they have all these inputs on deck ready to counter, whiff punish etc

Yeah takes a lot of practice regardless of which type of controller you use. One thing to consider is whether you're holding the stick properly. As dumb as it sounds, consider googling "how to hold arcade stick" lol. Keep practicing though so you get used to it.

Also, not saying spend a ton of money, but consider getting a bigger, pricier arcade stick down the road if you think you dig the arcade stick type of controller. I haven't used the hori fightstick mini myself, but if it's small and light, it might be moving around on your lap and also too cramped up for your hands making things harder for you. See if you can test out a bigger stick at all fighting game local or something. Like with all "instruments", higher price usually means higher quality.
