A 24 year old title contender is rare in MMA Jones current age 28-31 is where most fighters hit their peek.

True look at Cormier, Verdum.

They both like 38 and at their peak.

Anderson peaked at like 35.

That's what made Bones so special because he was so good at such a young age.

We got at least another decade of dominance coming brehs :banderas:

i like OSP and all but i don't think this is his time to beat Jones. the lead up, his workout regime in his off time, past fighters saying he was already one of the strongest they've fought in the cage, OSP's best chance is a KO by luck.

Would be crazy if JJ lost, then what star is left?

dana would commit that if this happens :russ:

osp has one punch knockout ability - the only thing jones is missing. jones just beats the fukk out out you

i dont see jones slipping up though, but the fukkery that would ensue :ohhh:

JJ doesn't get hit clean very often, and when he does his turtle defense and running away abilities are great. He ain't getting beat tonight
JJ plays tonight safe so he an secure 200 I think he tries to take OSP down for a submission

MMA doesn't work like that, one clean KO from an opponent everyone assumed he'd easily destroy (like an OSP) and suddenly his invincibility is gone, chin is softened and confidence shot. His career from there on could take a whole new form

Yes that happened to guys like Rashad and Machida, great fighters yes, but they were never anywhere near as dominant as Jones.

Jones could retire today and he has a case for GOAT.
I honestly believe he's way too elite for that to happen to him :yeshrug:

Even if he does take an L the odds of him turning into a complete scrub afterwards are slim.

That's just my opinion tho :manny:
