We should be setting in place a UBI but we've been convinced that the only way to be a productive member of society is to do some kind of labor for your sustenance. This in spite of plenty of rich people just sitting on top of inherited wealth and doing shyt all. I'm not trying to hate or be bitter, I'd do similar, it's just an obvious double standard based on luck of a dice roll.
