I watched an economist give a lecture and he flat out said Africans and African descendants (all black people globally) are kept poor on purpose to feed capitalism. We are that bottom group cacs feed off of.

Yet you’ll have supposed “pro black” people on this board that will passionately defend a system that has been the main driver of oppression from slavery to present day

Gotta have a lifeplan before you finish HS....otherwise this is the path for a majority of people...

They should have some kind of financial aid or grants they can apply for depending on what they are going for....

Point is, all this should have been thought about in your teens, not at 20+....

:mjlol:

Not even the avg 18 year old male knows what he wants or acts on it. Unless u a certified school book type of person.

I started nursing school in my mid 20s. Prior to that, i was working dead end jobs and fukking around. The adult age for men should change. I legit didnt grow up until i was like 23.

And this isnt just a small sample. Most males use college to party or take several years off after high school before getting their shyt together.

That's my retail gang. Burn this fukker down :wow:. The shyt these corporations did during the pandemic is shameless and I pray that all of their souls go to hell. Let these miserable customers get their own shyt and yell at clouds, while sorry ass managers clean up the shyt for once.

I think the worst thing I seen was a video of this old fart fukk yelling at a Walmart employee because "stuff". The guy recording him was like "dude why you yelling at this lady?"

The old b*stard goes: "She's not a person, she's a worker"

This is the signs of what these entitled b*stards are showing in this timeframe. They don't give a fukk about anything other than being loud, selfish, abrasive, and confrontational. Yet, the moment retail reps are like fukk this I'm out :camby:, they all crying about worker shortages and etc. Part of the worker shortages is the company policies that take a sorry ass long time to hire reps and purposely screwing up the schedules to cause confliction within the store floor. Then you have this whole demeanor where the customer got to get their nuts licked no matter how stupid and wrong they are.

I was told a long time ago from my first manager that "the customer is not always right" and goddammit I will live by the code to this very day because 80 percent of the customer base did this shyt to themselves.

So don't feel angry now when grocery jobs and so forth are being taken by a computer daddy!

I don't blame them but its going to be interesting to see what happens when the federal enhanced unemployment runs out in September. I'm sure you're gonna have a lot of these same folks returning to these same jobs they disavowed if they haven't found something better.

Usually after life altering tragedies, there is usually a reset in the economy. CEOs got workers working for a wage that you cant afford to rent a basic apartment,SMH.

Best time to switch careers/jobs out here, positions out here are offering more money to get workers back to work. Know your worth & upgrade

Eh...I feel that there's going to be a 50/50 ratio. There's going to be workers coming back. but the rest are pretty much gone. Hell. I left and no matter how much I miss the rush of retail, I hate what society and the business world did to retail.

I see that 50 percent either going back to school, finding legit gigs beyond retail,.....doing dirt:picard:, trying to setup the whole self made business affair (Twitch, YouTube, etc), or like me and joining passport gang because the game been rig breh. There's no more dream of going up in these dire affairs because its obvious that the suits are too busy being selfish at the table.

I used to work in a book store years ago. I thank God everyday I left and got a real career eventhough it was a peaceful job.

There's no way I would've been working there during the pandemic.

Worked in retail for 5 long ass years. Topped out at making $11.10 an hour at our location … after they’ve taken away overtime, holiday pay, and tacked on work meant for other shifts to cover because we had more people on hand at the start of the shift (never mind that like 60% of the team are part time and gone before 7:30).

Best decision of my life was quarterbacking a job hire while on the clock, quitting 8 days later and walking into a job that paid me for experience on top of actual benefits. :wow::wow::wow:

I feel ya breh. I was a manager for a number of years in retail. Totally understand how unappreciated and underpaid a lot of those employees are. Pandemic has been a blessing for me in the sense I was able to finish my degree and transition into a totally different field.
