This wave has been hitting retail, hotel, restaurants, fastfood, and i'm loving it (pun intended)
As long as people refuse to take these low paying dead end jobs, the market will be forced to correct.

If I had a teenage son/daughter, they will not work in retail or fast food. For what? fukk all that

what’s wrong with teenagers working fast for or retail? Those were some great times and you not trying to survive just working for some gas and shoe money

plus, it’s great motivation for those who need it

Never forget that Corporations have claimed for decades that they cant afford to pay more or they would go broke, all while making record profits.

and now that they are facing a labor shortage, you immediately see that they are forced to pay more to attract workers, and yet nobody is going out of business.
Almost as if the entire system is based on a lie and exploiting people who are too worried about keeping food on the table to step back and take a look around them.

:ohhh:

Where else do you expect your teen to work then? You sound stupid, kids should be working those jobs that's who their for. Adults working those jobs are failures.
If you do work, that work should pay you a livable, meaningful wage...it shouldn't really matter what kind of work that is.

Why is flipping burgers any different than fixing plumbing really? You don't need to go to school you just need skill and a process, both are damn essential...why is there a distinction there when arguably it's more important to eat :patrice:. Yah boy cutting the grass around town making bank, but ya actual boy cutting grass gets an allowance...

I'm just waxing and bullshyttin right now, but it's worth thinking about :manny:

we all get that moment to chose if we want the red or blue pill.

disconnect from the matrix or carry on with it.

but the pandemic made is real. people realized they could have died having lived up to that point and they want more in life now... i foresee a future wave of people rejecting broad capitalism all together and opting for simplified lifestyles.

Good .
Problem is not everyone can have good jobs . There is simply not enough good jobs ..if everyone got higher learning or trades and the market was flooded , wages would go down .
That being said every job should pay a liveable wage . shyt housing should be a right and everyone should have free health care.
America is ridiculously bad for being a first world nation.

wage should be high enough to the point where no one is strugglling, giving more incentive for people to work those "dead end" jobs
people like being told what to think and listen to these psychopath rich elite's propaganda because they cannot think for themselves enough to realize that is very very possible
the rich have the solutions they don't want to apply them

Get a better education, pretty simple...

No one who's done any actual research into this would agree with you about getting a better education being "simple". If we lived in Switzerland which allows all it's citizens to obtain heavily subsidized education paid mostly for by their government..... Then Sure.

Like I said before you're just in here spewing bootstrap propaganda that's been fed to you by rich people through media outlets and manipulation of said education system through the politicians they bankroll.

"Everyone that isn't on my level is a failure and just didn't put in the work" is just some of the laziest way of thinking possible

Good for the employees. This is exactly what a free market economy is about.

Greedy fugging CEOs, executives and shareholders are raking in money hand over fist and ain't sharing a damn thing with the employees. The employees are finally quoting Marlo:

At a base level wages haven't risen at a satisfactory level relative to housing and consumer goods. The base line of a living wage isn't being paid way before you have to get into striving to get a "better" job.

Nothing is more hilarious than watching people's faces melt when you explain to them what the minimum wage would've been had wages kept pace with inflation. People love to beat their chest about STEM STEM STEM, but when you use math to crush their arguments they want no part of that shyt.

It's funnier because I'm not super deep into the topic but even I know that.
