On some real shyt, looking back, a lot of street rappers in the late 90s were low-key pissed at X because they thought X took their shine away from them, in songs and in concerts and even parties. X had charisma and his connecrions with Christ and the best analogy with humanity/dogs that other street rappers couldn't connect with people outside of the streets. On top of songs like "Stop being Greedy" that a lot of dudes couldn't do for so many reasons.
Also, X gave back more than any east coast rapper, at a time where everyone on that flossy Puffy/Jay-Z shyt. He made mad rappers look bad and crazy selfish with giving back millions to his hood, being 1000% authentic, connected with Christ, never acting industry, and so on. He made a lot of rappers that used the "I gotta feed my family by every means" and "fukk these nikkas" type excuses look bad.
