Weeks? Months? Years? Decades? I guess they should just go with the best medical advice. I hope I never have to make that type of decision

If it's me, I'm telling my family to keep me on the machine for at least 25 yrs. If I don't wake up after the 25 yr mark, then okay

Depends on the type of coma. if i'm in a semi vegatative state and have brain activity, then keep me alive.
If i'm just laying there in a vegatative state. give me a couple weeks to see if my conditions change

There is a bit confusion in here, being brain dead isn't the same as a vegetative state. If you are in a vegetative state, that means your body can function on it's own but you have no awareness of self. Hopefully x is vegetative and no brain dead.

Keep him on the machine. It could be a miracle. You never know. Stevie Wonder got into a bad wreck back in 1973 and had a traumatic brain injury and was in a coma.

But looking at him now, you wouldn't even know. What if they unplugged him?

Leave X plugged in. It may be a wish and a prayer but I still believe that God is in the miracle business.

I’m gonna just be optimistic and hope for the best.
