Was watching his drink champs yesterday and was thinking it probably wasn't good to have him around all that liquor. Maybe weed, but it was a dirty blunt that got him hooked.

He was clean for such a long time, I thought it was just gonna be going uphill from here.

I thought it was kinda wild that DMX was drinking up with nore on Drink Champs, figured he went completely clean.

Man, DMX doesn’t need to be explained to anyone in the culture, but Jesus man...either no one really cared enough to help dude or he didn’t want help. We been dealing with fiend X for longer than hip hop legend X. shyt is tiring and sad.

I think he probably got a lot of help. It’s so hard to get clean man. Everyone can help you, but sometimes you just aren’t ready yet. Some people never are. I’m not casting any judgement. I know he’s had some help though. His demons are just so massive and unrelenting.

People at his level of addiction are really playing with fire by drinking. Weed not as much, but drinking is a slippery slope. When I was in rehab almost all the cats whose drug of choice was cocaine or crack said that drinking is usually what made them fall off the rails the hardest.

Is it bad that I've been mentally preparing myself for years for when the news hits that X has left us?

Me and my wife been sadly anticipating that moment so it won't hurt as bad . Its fukked up but it helped because I would be at this very moment flipping shyt over. X seemed like that relative that kept fukking up but gave so much to the family.

This is beyond celebrity death, its a wake for everybody to realize the gift and the curse of DMX, right now all we can do is pray, but sadly we gotta celebrate dude's life because....yeah
