I mean yeah it’s a nice idea to just stay away from drugs, but reality makes that a very difficult thing for a lot of people. It’s like saying don’t have sex before marriage, or don’t drink until you’re 21. I’m not saying drug use should he encouraged, but there has to be an alternative approach that takes into account youth, rebellion, curiosity, peer pressure, anxiety, depression, self medication, etc.Very different and thank you for giving an actual response to how he was "tricked into doing crack". The statement shouldn't have ever been "tricked by a friend", should have been "some bytch ass nikka gave him a blunt laced wit coke or crack and he's been hooked ever since".
I still stand by my statement regardless. If there is a chance that anyone of my children could.possibly have this happen to them I would tell them "STAY THE fukk AWAY FROM DRUGS"
It’s just not realistic to expect every kid to go “nope. Sorry. My parents said I can’t.” I mean we tried the whole Just Say No campaign in the 80’s/90’s and it failed pretty badly. People are always going to have an interest in mind altering and state altering substances.
