To play Armchair psychologist I would have had DMX with a sobriety coach/ chaperone, a FitnessTrainer, weekly therapist session for current issues and potential PTSD and Bipolar/ Trauma, get the top Psychiatrist in USA the one that treated Britney Spears in which she had recovered very well for some time from her Bipolar Disorder.
Then modified his touring schedule to the bare minimum for a year or 2 like Eminem did for 4/5 years for his addiction.
People with bipolar can tend to have problems with eratic grueling schedules (ex. Kanye)
Finally I would have got him a acting coach and had him in B movies/ straight to DVD/ Netflix/Amazon Prime video,maybe A list movies like 50 cent did in the late 2000s. Money can be better than music and a less stressful than touring/ performing. And also DMX has gotten high praise for his acting performance from the top film critics like Roger Ebert.

I jus hears about the story 30 mins ago and first thing I saw on Twitter was the headline "rip dmx". Then I saw he was "hospitalized".
