Don't forget Goodbye

I mean, this is life
We are born, to die, so LET ME FLY! (know what I mean)
Let me fly, we are born, to die
Cause I'm in a better place ('til we meet again)
I'm in a better place (I don't know what form)
See you soon baby! (we'll meet again)
Ha ha! .. (But we will meet again)

Spread your wings
Fly, I'll try not to cry, it'll be hard
I just, miss, not having you here
Even though I know you're in a better place!
I just miss not having you here
Kinda selfish when you think about it
That's nature, that's life
Spirit, never dies, as lessons begin

I listened to it last night and it has a whole new meaning now. Felt like he was talking to me
:mjcry:

Mentions Ready Ron about 54 seconds in. DMX a much better man than me. DMX has been to prison many times, it's nothing to him. For him to let that dude live, with his background, shows how much he loved him back then.

Well x said he wasn’t even smoking at this point and he just hit a blunt that was being passed around? I don’t know I wasn’t there

I have been listening to nothing but X since Friday. It hasn't hit me yet but it will soon. He was like the big brother I never had. Being born and raised in NYC you basically grew up on X's music. His music has helped me through so many dark times in my life. He is one of the few rare rappers whose music hits you in your soul. He was the voice of the streets and the voice of the everyday black man that came from nothing. His cadence and style was rough and raw. Like for me his music catered to me more that Jay Z. And I love Jay Z but X's music hits different. He made music that makes you go hard in the gym, fight, pray, going into deep thoughts, cry and just chill. Dude was versatile. Plus he can act. And the thing is X was so talented he had so much pain. He went through so much pain his whole life. And music was like his therapy. And his gift with rhymes and music blessed the world. He will be missed. It doesnt feel the same DMX passed away. I don't know its like a part of me wish he would faking this and come back in a bang. But another part of me is happy he isn't in pain no more.

A lot of rappers feared DMX because he was one of the first successful east coast rappers THAT CONSTANTLY AND RENTLESSLY GAVE BACK TO THE HOOD. I'm talking about rebuilding churches, building homeless shelters for homeless people, giving back to orphanages, giving back to homeless people by giving away $100 bills, food pantries on the regular, sending kids to college without debt on some Robin Hood shyt.

A lot of rappers like Puffy and even Jay-Z always have restrictions and stipulations on giving back, but X did it out of love without any strings attached! X made industry rappers look bad because he can give back a great portion of his wealth to the less fortunate and never made those cliché excuses like "I need to invest in my wardrobe" or "I gotta look out for my family" or "I dont owe these nikkas shyt" :mjpls: or that 50 Cent nonsense of "I got money therefore I am a better person than you" while they with they security teams!

X gave a path for these successful rappers to give back, but everyone rather flash and stunt. @ZoeGod @FreshAIG @LaBellaNicole0416.NYC
