Yeah Dyme was a duo. They was from Baltimore. As you know Baltimore was basically where X grew up. Yonkers and Bmore
I didnt know that, I never could find any info about the group. I know they was a duo by the documentary from the X album, they appear on it. The only info i find at the time from the name "dyme" , was only solo artists. :dry:

After its dark and hell is hot, the Great Depression is my second fave X album. This track right here is a forgotten gem :mjcry:

@2Quik4UHoes @RippTheRuler

I feel this album gets overlooked in Xs catalog. It had some joints on there ( who we be, you could be blind, I miss you, a minute for your son, problems). Looking back I wish Kanye would've been able to get that Ain't No Love beat to X that would've fit in with the album

Fans will remember him most for his signature voice/delivery, but X could get deep/poetic with the bars as well.

X was everywhere.. a true man of the people

He truly was the People's champ and I feel it why people love him so much even with his demons. He saw the good in us so we saw the good in him. He never looked down on anyone and made them feel he was above them. He showed love to all no matter who u were. Dude had a pure good and genuine heart.

He from yonkers but when he started robbing for a living he got with the people of ruff ryder's from Harlem ore ruff ryder's days and they hustled in maryland and dmx was more Of their muscle/all around guy while in Baltimore by then he was grown. There is a BET Ruff Ryder's Documentary. Pretty interesting. Also, dmx had a one hour documentary on VH1 some years back. It's crazy cause he had new music.rip

My Pops Forever RIP
Does anyone remember when X no showed the VMAs a few years in a row? That low-key disappointed me, but in retrospect, it's funny. He was supposed to perform with Jay and Ja Rule in 1999, but the hours before the show, they found out he was over seas in Tibet (I think?) so Jay had to do the set alone Then in 2000, he was scheduled to perform, and he once again at the last second no showed again, so Nelly took his spot and performed, and Country Grammar then went to No.1 on the charts. I think for a few years after MTV would always announce X as a featured guest on the show and they'd put (Maybe?) like how I just wrote it. :mjlol:
he was in the Poconos after he was telling them he was close. MTV set it up for both X and Hov to do their set together but X always felt a way about having to clean up his lyrics for middle America. When Julie Greenwald or one of her assistants got to DMX, he said "real dogs sniff blood" and then Julie had to repeat that to the MTV heads. The following year when he no-showed again, it was Julie who had to go back to the same MTV execs and had to tell them he wasn't coming.

The wild shyt is that he would do most award shows. MTV was the only one he really did this to.

Yeah he actually spent the majority of his childhood in Baltimore.

"Peep how I park it and chill, take it over there, walk wit' it
From Y.O. to Cali to Baltimore back to New York wit' it" - Look Thru My Eyes

"If you don't know you slow like Baltimore" - Let Me Fly

"I'm fukkin' with cats that order more hits and slaughter more kids
Let me holla at you, youngin', that Baltimore shyt (Ay-Yo)" - Get At Me Dog
