RIP X... so many memories and music, especially if I had a shytty day at school I would play "X Is Coming" or "The Omen" or when I was pursuing certain women I could vibe to "How's It Going Down". I'm gutted but he's still here in the essence.

Rest in peace to dmx, his music was a part of the soundtrack to me growing up and a lot of people. Prayers for the family and everyone affected by his passing.

Devastating news, I know the vast majority on here are from the US but people don’t realise just because a rapper is big in the States doesn’t mean it transcends world wide. Being in my 30s from Europe I can say DMX was fukkin huge globally, only rapper that comes close from the late 90s/early 00s to DMX on a global scale is Eminem and 50 later on, X was an absolute superstar, rapping, acting, so talented, tragic tragic life he looked healthy and fresh in the versus with Snoop only recently how shyt can change so quick, legend will never be forgotten no more to say

Man just going through reading all the comments and posts of love thinking back. It sucks that we are seeing so many people we grew up with dying..truly a sign that we are getting old.
Ruff Ryders Anthem was like a bomb..I remember borrowing the album from a friend in 5th grade it belonged to his sister. Id have to turn it all the way down at the end of the track
and then let’s not even get started on this dude dropping what’s my name/party up/what these bytches want all back to back. This is when a hit was actually a true hit..from the video, to the requests to the sales..everyone knew these songs..dude was a beast.
I do hope we all learn from X and show more compassion for the common person who has an addiction problem. It plagues our community and we usually laugh at them or point the finger. The above tweet and thread l was pretty powerful to me.
