I remember being at my moms apartment the first time I heard It’s Dark and Hell is Hot, one of my boys came over, he’s a pretty subdued individual, but he walked in hype with that cd in hand and put it in my CD player. Soon as that short monologue was over and I heard those first drum beats and church bells, let me tell you :banderas:

If you got to see DMX live in concert, you won! :mjcry:

I never saw breh live :wow:.

Was cleaning out some old emails today.. and came across my ticketmaster receipt from the ticket I bought to see him here at House of Blues in Orlando from back in 2006. :mjcry:

Got to see him again a little over a year ago in Ft. Lauderdale. I'm glad I went. GOAT night. There's no other feeling when he gets the crowd hype. None.

RIP to my dog. :to:

Flesh of My Flesh, Blood of My Blood was the first rap album I got (on cassette). X was the one who truly got me into rap as a young brehette

I was listening to 'Flesh of My Flesh...' and 'It's Dark and Hell Is Hot' the night I found out what happened. Slippin' was the first rap song that moved my heart besides Dear Mama, that song and others by him has helped me through my own dark times.

I've accepted the most likely outcome. I had the same situation with my Dad and me having to tell the doctors it's time to pull the plug. So I know what the family is going through. Just like my Dad, he can finally experience the eternal peace he could not truly have while on earth.

It has to be time. I just hope whoever needs to say their goodbyes and I love yous gets a chance to do so.

i know when my grandpa died he held on til all his kids got to DR so they can see him one more time.

the real sad part is that Covid-19 will keep X from getting the kind of sendoff that he deserves.

this ..same ting wit my Granma ,she held.on til fam from around the world came through to say goodbye

weirdest thing was 1 of her sons couldnt ,get a flight in for a couple more days and they put him on speaker fone at the hospital, he was her youngest child and told her its ok mom i know you love me , you dont have to hold.on for me

not long after that call she left us:to:

X holdinn on just to fight , coz thats his spirit or he hears his supporters outside and wants to give em one last ting to cheer for , or he aint seen everyone he klose with yet before checking out

.but its time to board that flight X :mjcry:

My nikka, Earl Simmons is gone. Swizz gave you the clue right here.

Thanks. I'm still holding on to whatever hope is left until I see official official wording.

Hard Knock Life Tour was my first rap concert. X was the highlight. Sounded amazing, crazy energy, a moving prayer, and a girl threw her underwear at him onstage.

This was back in 98/99 right? I was workin the graveyard shift as a Valet Parking manager at the Marriott World Center in Orlando, and I remember Jay and Redman stumbling into the lobby with random broads on their arms. They the only two I saw. I was just a young jit back then. Nothin but 19/20 years old.
