But YO....what's the deal with THIS vs. that National Geographic movie with Cynthia Erivo that comes out in March? They tryinta have competing Aretha movies?

True story....I met Aretha's long-time tour bus driver last time I was in Pittsburgh. Dude had stories for DAYS, he also drove for both Kris Kristofferson and Willie Nelson.

I watched a really good show about Aretha on Hulu called "genius Aretha". It was a 7 part series I believe.

Just saw it. Last slot showing, 10:30pm with a cute brown skin breezy. I’m so happy, she’s adorable, has a brain and aspirations.

Movie was good, Jennifer Hudson, Forest Whitaker and Marlon Wayans did an amazing job.

Don't get the need people feel that a singer had to get this role.
Just hire a really good actress and have her lipsych to Aretha's vocals, this is a movie not a Broadway play.
