It will but it shouldn't, because you had "traditional" Wesker in the Anderson films, and you're also getting one in the new film. This series is supposed to be some alternate spin off.

I don't think so, according to the leaked synopsis, the show takes place between two time periods. One where the girls are 14 and the other where they are 30. Taking that into account, I think the pair of girls are the older and younger versions standing next to one another. This makes even more sense when you take into account that the blonde streak girl is 17 and the other black girl is 16.
