I love how they remodelled the castle entirely to remove the annoying/redundant rooms, it feels more streamlined without making it feel too linear if that makes sense? Like the whole layout is “neater”
I only wish they removed the solo Ashley section too, but at least here it’s quicker/less irritating
To follow up on this, since Iv just hit the island, they really have cut out literally every minor area that I considered to be tiresome on replays…
The Sewer Section with The Acid Insects
The annoying room full of RPG and crossbow enemies where you have to chase the elder with the key
The big moving Salazar Statue room with the big hands that you have to control up and down with levers
The Trap corridor with the spinning blades
The weird lava room where you have to snipe the enemies on top of the dragon heads
A Good half of the Cave/Mine Section

And this was always one the longest games in the series so it doesn’t hurt the length of the game at all unlike how they butchered the RE3 remake by cutting out entire locations, everything just flows together so much smoother
