What group makes up the majority of the prison-industrial complex?
What group is doing heavy time for small-time offenses?
What group has the largest makeup of minors, that then become adults in the penal system?

You probably think poor people are poor because their lazy

those are symptoms of larger societal problems, I'd definitely be willing to look at actual proof of "racially targeted" legislation thought, even if it was "veiled" racially targeted legislation (a la SB1070).

Oh well, I guess if I said if I were conservative, you would have believed any different? Probably not. I'm conservative. I've believe in the same issues the Republican party has supported for 20+ years. I'm an old head.

Obama will get grilled on what he's done. Discredit? Obama will have to speak for himself during the debates. Romney will get grilled for what he's said. If he gets grilled, he gets grilled. That's what the debates are about.

serious question, how can you as a 20+ year republican supporter, stand behind what they have become in the past few years?

Like I said, there are multiple issues that I support that are in line with the Republican Party.

If there are other issues that the Democrats support and I don't, that's why. I don't support all the pro-gay things Obama has done and the Democratic party supports. You probably do, so that's another reason you don't align yourself with the Republican party.

What do you support that the GOP supports?

funny you talk about gay rights because i was recently reading how red states consume the most internet porn, specially gay porn :leon:

but the republicans have a tendency to watch fox news and vote against their self-interest so i can't say it surprised me too much.

Well, you can have a small number of people dl'ing a high volume of content. Doesn't mean the majority is dl'ing the same thing.

I don't watch FOX news. You have a huge tendency to "stereotype" people. You make huge assumptions without any truth to back it up.

A good CEO is a problem solver. A culture changer. Regardless of how I feel about dude, Romney's resume as a CEO is pretty solid. And he's not dumb. But he's easily distracted, to the point that it looks like his campaign is done, and he won't have the balls to make the big calls at the wheel. It looks more like his resume is just the result of good luck and being surrounded by the right people.

But we need someone who can cut through the bullshyt and do what has to be done, even if its unpopular. Neither candidate is built for that, their ambition & narcissism prohibits them from making choices that will upset their "bases"
i'll ask you again. What makes you THINK a CEO would make a good president?

do you know how many CEO's are not good at their job? meaning the companies they work for a lot of times lose money, but they themselves and some at the top find away to earn extra. then they jump ship and go to another company. and perhaps if the last ceo left a nice system in place they reap the benefits of such a system.

a ton of the well known guys have been around the block a few times. not really helping companies grow and sell more product. but yet they keep other ceo gigs. why? because once you become one for a large enough company some other company thats slightly smaller(But still large to the rest of us) will always take you in.

imagine if i'm the EX-CEO of apple. of course kroger would holler at me for a ceo opening. even if i didnt do well. doesnt matter. they figure i'm use to dealing with the big fish and i know how things go at the top.

now lets say you have a solid CEO with one company or multiple companies that are running them well. that phrase "run a company well" in 2012 doesnt mean what it meant in 1955.
running a company well now can mean make sure to get the shareholders a stock boost. thats it. and whatever it takes to do that. thats what you do. even if said product the company produces, quality takes a nose dive. doesnt matter. get these people a hike in the stocks ASAP. even if that means moving jobs overseas to countries where there is little to no regulation. that doesnt take a brain to pull that off. that takes someone without a moral compass. the "by any means necessary" mentality to make your shareholders happy.

then ask yourself, who would romney's shareholders be if he were prez? YOu and I or the corporations? you already know the answer to that question. because obeezy shareholders are the corps as well. now the only difference is because he came from the same place MOST of us came from, and he was a community organizer(someone SERIOUS about their community and issues). he understands our plight. more so then most presidents could. thats a fact that cant be debated.

So even when his shareholders(corporations) try to completely stiff us. atleast we have someone in there that feels like us or has recently felt like us. i mean the man just paid his student loans off right before he got elected. it gets no realler then that. when you're dealing with people that have no clue(romney and i aint mad at him for being the sun of a politician who owned a business or two, therefore he balls out. do you mitt). but when it comes to people like that. they will have to be VERY VERY special people in order to really understand the plight of the regular man. mitt isnt one of those guys and most CEO's that have made their money because of what i said above, and due to their parents being ballers therefore they grow up in a baller bubble where the worse they could do is get a job making 6 figures when they get out of college.

so at the end of the day when the shareholders(Corporations) come asking MITT to do something on their behalf even if it kills the middle class/poor. MITT will do what he needs to do , to make the corps happy. thats how it always goes.

and lets be real. if mitt was such a great problem solver outside of the business world. and outside of making a company fold or sending jobs overseas. then why cant he tell us any specifics on how he will accomplish what he says he will accomplish? because the real answer is, he doesnt know how he will accomplish the things he says. because its impossible to do so. so what he's doing is trying to get in. then once he gets in. its going to be open season on the middle/poor class. and the corps are going to ball out.
