Spanking can lead to all kinds of mental issues, but there are a lot of folks out here looking dumb as hell with their kids talking to them like they ain't shyt.

I guess it depends on the situation. Your child should always know that you love them.

Very last resort for me and my kids. My oldest who’s 15 I stopped 4 years ago. My youngest who’s ten last got that work over a year ago. I try everything I can think of before it gets to the belt. Make sure to review why I’m doing it before with them and after. Really hate doin it, can’t lie. But sometimes it’s necessary after you’ve tried all other means for them to get it together. And I 100% make sure they know they are loved and I tell them as well. Don’t mean I won’t give ‘em some akrite if necessary tho

My parents only spanked me as a last resort. Like, they "told me a thousand times" now, THIS might help the message crystalize a bit better...

Plus, they talked to me before AND after, usually with hugs. (which I didn't understand back then) It was cliche, but they always used to say "it hurt them more than it hurt me"...i get it now

My wife grew up in a house without beng spanked and she is a great person, so I can see the argument from both sides

My folks never spank me or my younger brother, but my oldest siblings use to get it bad. When my oldest brother turned 18, dude went from 5'9 to 6'0 one summer, and him and my pops got into it and he hand pops on the ground hyperventilating

Both of my parents have whooped me twice, and I had it coming each time. I don't think spanking is something you just have to do... but they need to know it can go there. It ain't about beating kids just to be beating them.

Kids and teens today are out of line and awkward. Dont know if its lack of spanking but they were never taught to respect their elders. Plus most of the young adult patients i see a lot are fukked in the head with anxiety and depression but thats another story

fukk these "studies". People of all races, creeds and walks of life been spanking/physically disciplining their kids for centuries.
