I'm OK with them having a little ambition this time around. If solid source material is what it takes then

Just set it in the x-men universe they already showed a dystopian version of that universe in DOFP it isn't that hard IMO. Make Sabertooth the big bad instead of the Hulk, you could use Deadpool instead of Hawkeye, X-23 instead of Spider-girl etc, etc. Civil War is in a similar position they have the essential elements to make a version of Civil War that resembles the comic.

Now just make the "proper" improvements and give Wolverine a solid flik
But its hard to do that cause his stories always involve more characters and this goofy ass rights to characters shyt fukks it up

His shyt is hard to build on if you dont own all the pieces
Cause hes a well traveled character
