Depends who you speak to. Rich Haitians (in Haiti) most likely don't think too bad of Moise. Poorer Haitians (in Haiti) most likely speak bad on Moise. But not all, but a significant number.

Haitian-Americans can be all over the place.
Some of the wealthy Haitians don’t fuk with dude. When DR was cleansing Haitians from that part of the island, the wealthy Haitian(in Haiti) try to pressure him to do something about it. He refused because he was in business with them (I assume drugs)

He was backed by boules with they party (PHTK )aka drug traffickers. He was liked by the criminal circle from sweet Mickey’s PHTK crowed (baby/papa doc circle) and now by some Haitian Americans who have no sense of belonging

He was hated from all side at the end

The First Lady arrives in Haiti today.
President Jovenel's funeral will be on July 23rd. And will not be held in PauP (thank god) but instead in his home region of Northern Haiti (Okap).

Was he a puppet or was he an autocrat-dictator? You cannot be both at the same time

Autocrats answer to nobody.... Dessalines was an autocrat.... He answered to nobody and killed whoever he wanted.

Jovenel was originally appointed to power as a puppet.... everyone agrees on that.... So shouldnt we point the energy to the puppet masters? The US government? The elite families?

I'm only asking this question because you were down-playing the elite families in the beginning of the thread saying they dont have any power.... and thats very suspect to me.

And I notice alot of Haitian "leftists" been playin dumb and providing cover for the elite families since the assassination.

Why all this energy for the puppet and not the alleged puppet masters?

Thats why I say Haitian politics is bogus.

Jovenel is dead and I'm still hearing stories of murder and kidnapping, so whos behind it now?

Go at the puppet masters.
What? You trying to compare Jovenel with Dessalines?

who did Dessalines massacred ?
Also what leftist Haitian been playing dumb and providing cover for the Haitian elite?

You do know that boules is part of PHTK group of criminals and funded Jovenel election ...right? You do know the Haitian elite on Jovenel side was providing weapons through the ports for Jovenel bandits to kill more of the population? The Haitian elite was praising him in the Miami herald article .... you know that right?

Above the fray.

He was ELECTED to office in 2016.
If you want to say that it was a sham election, then point out the last presidential election that wasn't a sham.

:stopitslime:

Stop it bro, come on now. :mjlol:

I listen to both sides of the Haitian political spectrum... One side is saying he was backed by the Haitian elite... The other side is saying he was at conflict with the Haitian elite.... One side is saying he was in bed with the US government... the other side saying he was at conflict.

I'll be honest... I think everybody in Haiti from the politicians, the police, the traditional media --- everybody has a boss and nobody has credibility.

I think everybody will sell out for the right price..... yon pakèt moun visye

I'm Haitian-first, I dont have a political party.... But how do you explain the stories of kidnappings still coming out after Jovenel has died? Jovenal not ordering hits from the grave.... Jovenal not killing people from the grave... He's been eliminated from the movie.

Eventually we gotta start investing all our energy towards the people at the top.... the ones FUNDING everything.... the hidden hands.... Puppets can be replaced and inserted at anytime.... We're always having the same conversations about massacres, kidnapping, and corruption no matter who is in office.... It never stops.

Its gonna be somebody else in office next year and we're gonna be saying the same shyt.

Its been the same story since I was a young child.... It never ends bro.... We gotta put the political differences to the side and go at the puppet masters bro.... thats all I'm saying

I lost respect of the opposition when they had that criminal Youri Latortue being part of it. He is just as corrupt as PHTK. He has alot of blood ins hands and he has gangs under his control in Gonaives. He is nothing more than a thug with a brutal past as a soldier and former police officer. The thing with Haiti is all factions have their own killers and gangsters so there isn't any real good side.

Both can be true. In the beginning, he had the backing and support of the elite. The Petrocaribe scandal being the highlight of that. But declaring himself dictator and trying to change the constitution to give himself more power. He tried to remove any obstacles to that. Dissolving of the parliament and no new elections. Curtailing and curbing the elite. The latter didn't work out so well.

But how do you explain the stories of kidnappings still coming out after Jovenel has died?
Sidenote: Are the elites still kidnapping each other?

:dwillhuh: the elites are kidnapping each other and holding each other for ransom?

bro, please explain :dead:

Early on in Moise's presidency (IIRC), there were stories about how the poor were kidnapping rich people. Later on it was found out that it was actually an elite (car dealership owner, i believe) that was kidnapping other elites to keep their business afloat.

I was talking about innocent civilians on the street still getting kidnapped after Jovenel's assassinations.
You know more than me on that front, breh.

ohhhhhh :russ:

thats standard practice by the elite.... kidnapping the relatives of competitors.... getting nikkas arrested on false charges..... paying nikkas to go kill competitors.... burn shyt down, etc etc etc

Its a movie.

thats why I'm so happy that alot of the elites are in exile right now.

They will never be able to live in peace in Haiti anymore.... they might as well stay out.

It's was businessman Clifford Brandt. He owned a Mazda dealership.
He was using poor folks from the slums to kidnap other wealthy Haitians.

Not other elites but other upper class Haitians. It's was just another stream of income for him.
This kidnapping thing has been going since Aristide's 2nd term.

I seen a big march happened in Port-De-Paix and folks were chanting for the arrest of the boujwa. :blessed:

North Haiti been holding it down with the revolutionary energy for 200 years strong.

The only good thing about this situation is that eyes have been opened and everybody has their energy pointed towards the elite families.

I heard someone say that Port De Paix has to be re-named to Port De Guerre

:wow:

My grandmother said to me over the weekend "Si boujwa santi sa yo mete pat pye an Haiti, se pou pep la boule yo epi touye yo an plas piblik"

and my grandmother goes to church every sunday and worships white jesus.

Its just the energy in our veins.

naaaahhhhh hold up - which one you nikkas edited Boulos' Wikipedia page?? :russ:

I'm crying.... Haitian nikkas too funny... my stomach hurt right now... I love my people :mjlol:

Reginald Boulos - Wikipedia

Currently, he is suspected of being the mastermind behind the killing of President Jovenel Moïse. Reginald Boulos acquired his wealth mainly through government contracts in the energy sector among other business endeavors. President Jovenel Moïse eventually cancelled these energy contracts in an attempt to halt the long lasting corruption and overpricing. Reginald Boulos is also known for organizing political rallies with paid protesters and for supplying the Haitian police and other paramilitary units with weapons and ammunition.

EDIT - It got erased :unimpressed::mjlol:
