Jovnel Moise was a US ally and asset. They had no reason to kill him. This seems to be a botched job by somebody with money in Haiti. And I was listening to Haitian YouTube vids and they are saying the men are starting to talk. The word is the plan was not to kill Moise but to kidnap him and force him in exile. But something may have went horribly wrong.
would be esier to just kill him why would they even try to exile him?

Makes sense. They know they got no excuse for why none of his security/soldiers were harmed or killed while Jovenel was assassinated

would you personally ever say or think in the back of your head that its a possibility the Colombian President himself had some involvement?

Why would Colombia be involved? Moise and Duque(president of Colombia) both voted for sanctions against Venezuela and condemn Maduro. Ex Colombia soldiers and paramilitary forces are known mercenaries. They are hired guns around the globe. It’s likely some of the elites who opposed Moise hired these gunmen to simply exile him. They also probably paid of some members of the presidential guard and police to stand down. But it was botched and now everything is falling apart. Didn’t seem to be a smart or well though out plan. So many more questions need to be asked.

If the guy was a puppet of the US & was treating citizens wrong then why are folks mad
It's half-dozen in 1 hand, 6 in another. He's a dictator who did some awful shyt and needed to go. But at the same time, he was the President and the President should never be offed like it's a B-list movie.

And offed by foreigners at that.

El "paseo turístico" por RD de parte de los acusados de magnicidio en Haití

The two haitians from the US say that they were hired as translators, that they were supposed to kidnapp Moïse and that they found the job online :mjlol:

The sister of one of the dead suspects, Duberney Capador, told the AP that she last spoke to her brother late Wednesday — hours after Moïse's murder — when the men, holed up in a home and surrounded, were desperately trying to negotiate their way out of a shootout.

"He told me not to tell our mother, so she wouldn't worry," said Yenny Capador, fighting back tears.
president.

Capador said her brother, who retired from the Colombian army in 2019 with the rank of sergeant, was hired by a private security firm with the understanding he would be providing protection for powerful individuals in Haiti.

Capador said she knew almost nothing about the employer but shared a picture of her brother in a uniform emblazoned with the logo of CTU Security — a company based in Doral, a Miami suburb popular with Colombian migrants.

The wife of Francisco Uribe, who was among those arrested, told Colombia's W Radio that CTU offered to pay the men about $2,700 a month — a paltry sum for a dangerous international mission but far more than what most of the men, nonommissioned officers and professional soldiers, earned from their pensions.

Uribe is under investigation in the alleged murder of an unarmed civilian in 2008 who was presented as someone killed in combat, one of thousands of extrajudicial killings that rocked Colombia's U.S.-trained army more than a decade ago."

The main person in question at the moment is Dimitri Herard. He is the person in charge of Moise's security detail. He is nowhere to be found currently.

As I stated earlier in this thread Dimitri used to be involved in the firearm business a couple of years back.

"Dimitri Herard, the head of the General Security Unit of the National Palace (USGPN, by its French acronym), is the subject of a US law enforcement investigation related to arms trafficking in Haiti, according to multiple sources both inside Haiti and the United States. Earlier this week, the president of Haiti was assassinated in what Haitian government officials have claimed was an elite commando raid of the president’s private residence. As head of the palace guard, Herard is one of the individuals most responsible for the safety of the president. The USGPN is responsible for securing both the palace and the president’s private residence."

#Haiti: [20 hrs. ago] The USS Billings (LCS15) has docked in the port of Santo Domingo and today we had the opportunity to take a tour on board! It is a littoral combat ship of the Freedom variant of the US Navy, designed to operate in near-shore environments.

#Haiti: The engines of the USS Billings are running and they are expected to depart with a full complement of US Marines sometime soon. They have not filed an official destination according to public records.
