^^This. DOFP sound like it as gonna be a disaster with every interview and press release that came out before the movie dropped and DOFP ended up being arguably the best X-Men film to date. I'm gonna reserve judgement till it comes out, or if I hear something way too left field, like Apocalypse ending up being a female robot or some shyt.

Yep. I'm prepared to give them the leeway they've earned. We ALL know that Hugh Jackman, Lawrence, and Fassbender have become the Stars of the franchise. So crafting the story "around" them makes a certain sense

The "love" angle is one of the staples of Comics. EVERY hero has a love interest and if done right it can enhance the movie. I say give them a chance

Tony calling Pepper lasted 15 fukking seconds. It wasn't the staple of the movie.
Love stories bog down comic movies. Period. Thor had the most shoehorned, unnecessary love angle I have ever seen in a movie and it damned near killed the movie for me.
You have a movie that's gonna have Apocalypse as the main villain and the first news we get is a fukking love angle storyline between Magneto and Mystique? You telling me that unnecessary shyt doesnt bother you? Keep that shyt simple. Give us eye candy and wow us. Don't bore us with some love shyt.
