Sam Darnold wasn’t salvageable until he got a chance in Minnesota. Only reason he even started is because JJ McCarthy went out for the season.
Fields would stink up the joint in Minnesota. JJ would lose his mind.

Lawrence maybe needs a change of scenery but the Steelers gonna be that same 10-7, 9-8 at this point feels like :francis:

Long time Jags fan here...

for the person that said we felt the same way about Bortles... thinking he would be okay... We did not lol. Most us fans knew what he was early on.

TLaw is still VERY young, It wouldn't be smart at all to give up on him. He has shown promise even through the organization being a shyt show....

I think we got alot of the problem people out and seems like the structure is more balanced within the organization.

I think he's going to be okay.

To keep it real I think a lot of former qbs see themselves in dudes like darnold, Allen, burrow, Trevor etc.

They gon speak highly of them off gp, just be a decent sized white dude who throws a “pretty” ball and them dudes gon fight for you in media, especially them dudes who careers really ain’t go nowhere
Allen and Burrow don't belong in this conversation

Yeah people keep trying to compare Bortles and Lawrence haven't actually watched both play..

Bortles was the reason the team started to break up due to him getting a pay day..

You put even a rookie Trevor on that Jags team and we beat the Pats in that championship game..

We all knew Bortles couldn't really throw lol. and it was rumored that he wasn't heavy on film like the greats usually are... That being said, I appreciated Bortles.

Trevor's arm is crazy... IMO Doug's Offense aged it's way out of the NFL. Teams would just sit in some type of Cover 2 and dare us to run the ball... and our softass Oline was always exposed.

No way you hire an offensive guru as HC, then trade the young QB before you see if he can be salvaged. Makes absolutely no sense!! Thats why he was brought in. Look at what he did for another former No 1 pick in Mayfield. There are gonna see if he can bring out the best in TLaw
