Im in management and we’ve been meeting with HR about wfh efficiency. It’s not great for everyone and people are in for a rude awakening: folks gonna get let go for not actually working hard from home. I think that workers demanding this shift are setting themselves up for failure. Especially state employees who are notoriously lazy to begin with. Imagine how inefficient they are at home...

A better option that is gonna make companies more competitive will be allowing people to work from home for a set amount of hours a week. Or you work from home 1-2 days a week.

It’s just more benefit to working remote. Think about the reduction of sexual harassment claims, work place injuries, or work place violence. If I’m an employer, I would factor this into my thinking about the reduced liability I would have :yeshrug:

Injuries and violence ... ok.

But harassment claims somehow are up.

Tech workers say they have experienced more harassment based on gender, age and race or ethnicity while working remotely during the pandemic, according to a survey from a nonprofit group that advocates for diversity in Silicon Valley.

The increases were highest among women, transgender and nonbinary people, and Asian, Black, Latinx and Indigenous people.

I live about 10 minutes from my job.Not the biggest deal going back for me. But some of my other co-workers live over an hour away . They are going to want to kill themselves returning back to that lol

Fine with me.

I do all my reading/podcast on the way in and back home anyways. Plus, I need the change of scenery. Separating work and home life is a necessity.

I don't care if yall don't miss chatty patty. That's a situation yall need to handle within the organization and learn how to handle confrontation. If my paper work and business was handled quicker with everyone in office. That's how it needs to be unless yall figure out how to continue to work as efficiently remotely as in office, cuz obviously, there has been a decrease in work efficiency to sacrifice the comfort of individuals:yeshrug:
nikkas that sounds like a personal problem. Don’t project you and your department’s bullshyt on everybody else.

Is work efficiency looking similar to how it was pre-covid?
