My guess is that it was either a title loan or purchased at a bhph place.

The car is too old and valueless for any bank to have loaned against it even 5 years ago.

I could totally see them charging 300% interest on a car that was already owned by the owner at a title loan racket . Or by doing something similar to desperate person with no cash at a bhph dealership . Wouldnt be suprised if they had her making payments that are equivalent to payments on a 15k car for a 3k car.

Towing isn't always about payments.

My old apartment had parking tags and after 4 years I never got that tow guys route down but it seemed like he'd hit the lot every 2 hrs or so. He was always yanking someone's vehicle.

I swear that guy must've been paid by the apartment company by the car like $200 a whip.

They definitely get a kick back from towing ppl shyt. I didn’t even know it was a thing til I moved to Indy last year. Tags were expired for a few days after moving & getting situated. Wasn’t there a full week before mine got towed for my plates. Had to pay $175 & show proof of new registration.
