I ain't afraid, I knew you'd be here. :mjpls:

Y'all also said he'd improve because he has the "physical tools". He ain't getting better at shyt.

And don't group me in with people hyping his defense. I even said in this thread I just want him to be a positive contributor with a good role. I think he can be good offensively and a good rebounder. I doubt he'll ever be great defensively for a variety of reasons, but I don't really care because we're getting GOATside this offseason and he'll swat everything away anyways. :blessed:
See my discussion on Okafor, when one of y'all Lakers fans tried hyping his defensive potential -
Okafor is not going to work in l.a if handle is there. That duo offers no rim protection

who offers rim protection in memphis? marc gasol or zach randolph?

i'm sure okafor can become like marc gasol. block 1.5 shots per game. and learn how to get good position on defense.

Marc was the DPOY last season and is still one of the best anchors in the league.

i agree. but he doesn't block many shots. he's slow footed like jahlil. and doesn't have great lateral mobility. z-bo can't move well either and doesn't offer shot-blocking. YET memphis has been one of the best defensive teams in the league the last 4-5 years.

that was the point.

Okafor will NEVER have the defensive impact that Gasol has. You can't weigh Gasol's rim-protecting ability simply by blocks.

were you saying this when marc gasol was 19 years old?

Marc isn't 19 in that pic.

He was 17/18 in his last season at Lausanne, and he averaged six blocks a game. He was known for his defense then and when he played for Barcelona before he even played in the NBA.

It's a little whack y'all are trying to discount his rebounding ability. You want a guy that can rebound and hustles for them. I don't see y'all complaining about Drummond little racking up offensive rebounds by hitting it off the backboard a bunch of times before he gets it in. :yeshrug:

edit: don't bring up swag as a legitimate poster. :scust:

He doesn't do anything at an elite level yet, and neither does Randle. And don't bring up rebounding. He's still a better player than Randle is.
Randle is already one of the best rebounders in the league. and scores the same amount of points as Jabari, but Jabari is a below average rebounder.

I'm not discounting his rebounding ability, I'm putting it into context on how gets them, what impact it has on the game and what significance it has in an argument for him being a better player than Jabari. Randle plays A LOT closer to the basket on defense, and is typically the closest Laker to the basket when there's the opportunity for rebounds - when Jabari's on the court: Monroe, Giannis and MCW are the ones who're grabbing rebounds.

Top 2 rebounders on each team -

Monroe - 9.7 rebounds per game
Giannis - 7.1 rebounds per game

Hibbert - 5.3 rebounds per game
Nance Jr. - 5.0 rebounds per game

Like I said above, Randle would have no chance in hell averaging 9 rebounds in Milwaukee - shyt he would barely get game time in Milwaukee.

I quoted those posts to illustrate it isn't me (like you insinuated) who was hyping up Okafor's potential - but one of y'all Lakers fans.

yep ur at the point where you've run out of arguments...let me guess whats next...."you don't watch the games, shut up". Randle just a better player right now, it is what it is :manny:
I've run out of arguments? You don't even have an argument. How the fukk can you say he's a better player when you don't even watch the Bucks play? How could one possibly make that assertion?

No
Only thing Randle better at than Jabari is looking like a cop. He can't shoot (41% from a big :martin:) and he dumb. I'll be glad when Kidd is fired so Bari can be freed from the damn corners and show off his whole game. Even better, I'd like if he got traded.

When Bari hitting step-backs and crossing dudes a year from now, Randle gon still be the same try-hard basic game Faried-wannbe bamma.
