Why would anyone say some nonsense like this, as if Julius has come close? Jabari was putting up 20+ ppg on high percentages last season, creating his own offense from all over the floor (something which Julius can't do on the regular), and yet this cornball is only in Randle's corner because he's on his team. Funny how he didn't say shyt about either player prior to this season.

Julius averaged 16 ppg on 56% shooting in only 26 mpg and starting only half of his team's games last year; Jabari's absolute best season offensively he barely scratched 20 ppg, on lower efficiency, playing 34 minutes a game as the starter every night. And again, because it can't be emphasized enough... dude was only managing this while being an absolute sieve on the other end of the court during this time.

@Gil Scott-Heroin It's over breh, you keep talking about small game sample sizes being irrelevant (after trying to use the preseason as irrefutable evidence players would be good/bad...) but we have 190 games of solid proof that Jabari is worse than absolute trash on the defensive end, along with another 190 games of inconsistency, poor conditioning, bad decision making, ball-hogging, non-facilitating, playoff disappearing, disappointment on the offensive end. You acting like the dude was drafted a few months ago when in reality he's been in the NBA for going on half a decade now and that there's more than enough to definitively judge him compared to his draft class peers. And the reality is no medically sane GM looking to do anything but lose as many games as possible would ever think of taking Jabari over Randle at this point in their respective careers. And that the gap between them is getting wider and wider, not closer, as time goes on and the more we see of both of them play.

Why are you using his surface stats in this disingenuous manner when I already explained this shyt to you before? Julius was eating off rolling to the rim, put-back opportunities, and defensive errors in the paint when averaging 16 ppg (you obviously weren't paying attention to his play) - points that didn't come from his "offensive ability", but because of his hustle and athleticism. He shot 33 eFG% on his jumpshots last year, whereas Jabari shot 48 eFG% on his jumpshots - that's the margin we're dealing with here.
You can't compare players who score primarily in the paint off easy scoring opportunities to players who actually create their own offense, in a variety of ways. I mean why does this obvious shyt even need to be said?
Jabari has his flaws (if you had bothered to read through this thread you would've seen my take on his game, instead of making up bullshyt to fit your argument), but Randle will likely never display the level of ability that Jabari did last season. And that will never change even if Jabari can't overcome his injuries to get back to where he originally was.

Randle has somewhat of a clue on defense. Bari is maybe top 10 worst in the league....nikka gettin 20 mill and cant even start.
"Somewhat of a clue" is basically Randle's game on both ends of the floor. Jabari is bad on the defensive end, but his offensive ability is what makes him better, especially when Randle's offensive game is simply rolling to the rim and fumbling his way to the odd-basket in the post.

Randle would basically be unplayable on the Bulls because they can't afford to carry a floor-shrinker who has little-to-no offensive ability when they don't have the right balance on both ends of the floor.
