Back in the day, food in general tasted much better.
:pachaha: I guess that's how heroin be, cause sometimes I be eating something to recreate the magic from the glory days and it doesn't hit :francis:
Then go back couple months later like

That’s exactly what it is.

Looks the exact same

Nope.

I've said this several times before, I was dating a girl working at Pizza Hut in the mid to late 90's....they went from everything fresh (cutting the vegetables, etc.) to frozen and canned.

So it's not nostalgia. They changed their whole shyt up in the late 90's, which is why they fell off.

What would you say is the best pizza spot to you now?

Sarpinos by a wide margin.

I know a couple people who tried to get into franchises and said the same thing. All the ingredients are frozen, pre cut, canned, dried, etc etc that's why it all tastes so different. I heard they don't even want knifes around because god forbid your knucklehead employees get into a fight and someone grabs a knife. So you can't even chop fresh onions or tomatoes. I don't know how true this is but I believe it. They also don't hire anyone with experience in cooking, anyone is eligible.

My older brother used to work fast food in the early 90s and the owner had him go to the supermarket every morning to pick up ingredients.

It's 100% true. I literally watched this girl cutting veggies like :unimpressed: because she had to stay late and we were supposed to go on a date.

She was still working there when they switched over to canned/frozen. This would've been '98, around there.

Pizza Hut fell all the way off, that's a fact.
If you want to restore the feeling, though, Little Caesars Deep Dish pizza tastes EXACTLY like the old Pizza Hit pan pizza.
You're welcome.
