Nobody Lives Forever
I think a lot of u cats are romanticizing over heroes in hindsiught. That sh!t started to show signs of fraudelency as early as the 1st finale.I remember feeling rather underwhelmed at how anti-climatic that whole incident panned out, they basically didnt do anything but stop th threat. No character died, no battles just garbage. And its easy to use the writing strike as an excuse but how come season : villians was 10x better "fugitives"
We dont know what happened behind the scenes with harrold perrineau and the creators but the walt situation was a perfect example of the lack of planning out the creators had. They had to have known that kids grow so having him look 25 when he was 14 would just be ridiculous. One thing about Lost that I didn't like at ALL was that the Black characters on that show got the shaft something serious. Walt was set up to be a major part of the shows mythology, they gave him these mysterious powers and NEVER answered any questions about what made him "special". More importantly, the character of Michael, who sacrificed his own soul for his son, was left with NO redemption in the end. He died trying to repent for his murders and this was never addressed nor was Walt ever told (Locke actually lied to him and made him think he was still alive). Leaving the storyline as another black father who abandons his child. With One of the shows main themes being the importance of Parent-Child understanding and reconciliation I felt this was a severe omission and disappointing plot hole.
