I think a lot of u cats are romanticizing over heroes in hindsiught. That sh!t started to show signs of fraudelency as early as the 1st finale.I remember feeling rather underwhelmed at how anti-climatic that whole incident panned out, they basically didnt do anything but stop th threat. No character died, no battles just garbage. And its easy to use the writing strike as an excuse but how come season : villians was 10x better "fugitives"

One thing about Lost that I didn't like at ALL was that the Black characters on that show got the shaft something serious. Walt was set up to be a major part of the shows mythology, they gave him these mysterious powers and NEVER answered any questions about what made him "special". More importantly, the character of Michael, who sacrificed his own soul for his son, was left with NO redemption in the end. He died trying to repent for his murders and this was never addressed nor was Walt ever told (Locke actually lied to him and made him think he was still alive). Leaving the storyline as another black father who abandons his child. With One of the shows main themes being the importance of Parent-Child understanding and reconciliation I felt this was a severe omission and disappointing plot hole.
We dont know what happened behind the scenes with harrold perrineau and the creators but the walt situation was a perfect example of the lack of planning out the creators had. They had to have known that kids grow so having him look 25 when he was 14 would just be ridiculous.

Except that lost started off great...then lost some steam...got great again after the WE HAVE TO GO BACK!....sucked for a while...got better again towards the end, then ended with a fukkin whimper. Just when you were ready to bail it started to get good again. When Heroes got bad, it just stayed bad.
that's when it became evident that they never had a plan for this shyt after the first season or so. I'll admit it had some decent viewing along the way, but as a whole, the shyt was plenty bogus.

I think with Heroes, I watched it solely cuz of the tv schedule over here. It went 24, then i could watch Heroes and Prison Break on a west coast station, so with nothin else in between at that hour I just sat through Heroes to get to PB. Announcing Marlo was gonna be a villian got a lot of peoples hopes up I'm sure

People need to stop using the Writers' Strike as a crutch for why Heroes fell off. That didn't help, but they had a LOT of other problems, strike or not.

I think what happened was, since the original plan was to have each volume focus on a different group of heroes, they were able to do more than Lost was because Lost (arguably) had to string the audience along more. That's why we got a lot of talk about how "Heroes gives us answers, but Lost just gives us more questions."

But when the Heroes writers realized they had to keep focusing on the same characters, they ran out of ideas for them, and that's why we got bullshyt like Suresh turning into Spider-Man and Sylar joining the Petrelli family :smh:

Some of y'all actually thought Michael was a great character? Without Walt, Michael was pointless. They even had kill Ana Lucia and Libby for no reason.

Now Mr. Eko - that was a major loss. When he left he was one of the dopest characters on the show. But the actor that played him wanted to go back to the theater. :why:
