i dont believe he ever did.

Gillie said "Go DJ" was originally "Go EA" (Erie Avenue)

He said that on Power 99 in Philly.

But Go DJ is really an old New Orleans group's song.

Caught in his lie right there :snoop:

And a lot of bars on Tha Carter (the album he supposedly wrote) were recycled from Squad Mixtapes and older cds.

Even the mixtapes he used old lines from Da Drought 1 and 2.

Real Weezy fans know the deal :myman:

:usure: you could tell that gillie wrote alot of that album just by hearing it. its blatantly obvious and people knew this long before gillie had his fallout with CMR.

:comeon: its one thing for alot of these fellows that arent very familiar with gillie to assume that hes lying, but i dont see how a guy thats from philly couldnt spot the obvious unless you were just getting into rap at the time. then thats understandable.

lol @ old mixtapes. dont you know that gillie was on cash money years before the carter?

:pachaha: I remember that...talking bout he came up with a hook that was taken directly from a decade old cash money classic...dude literally came up with a different story everytime he told it before just flat out admitting he never wrote for him and focused on the kissing shyt instead

Carter 1... Wayne said "I'll shoot you Arm Leg Leg Arm Head"

and ever wonder why his verses on Get Yo Shine On, Neck Of the Woods, and Mannie Fresh's Takeover sounded completely different than what he does on his albums?

Wayne was still using NO slang (whoadie)

He was recycling HOV lyrics and old Juvey lines.

Ironically one of the songs that was originally made with the Sqad, that was without any influence from Cash Money at all (he was beefing with the label)...and was re-recorded to take Gudda and all references to the Sqad off of it...the original was released a couple of years ago as The Carter Files

If people did their due diligence with this situation like they did with the Nas/Dead Prez stuff, it would've been seen as fairly obvious b.s. from the get go...I've been saying it for years, Wayne has literally albums worth of mixtape and random studio session material that shows the step by step progression and use of his style found on C1...both before, during and after the album...it's like accusing somebody of cheating on a math test when they have detailed scribbles of them showing their work right there on the sheet...there's no way people can listen to the later Sqad tapes, the prefix, the first two Droughts, and Dedication 1....then listen to Gillie's Appetizer tapes from that same era...then listen to the Carter 1 and think Gillie wrote it...add the constantly changing stories, getting caught in lies, and finally coming out and admitting he didn't write for him...and it's a pretty clear story...a guy like Superb has a more believable tale

If Weezy had ghostwriters for the trash he's been spitting from 08-now then they should be ashamed of themselves :heh:

On that note, I don't think he has ghostwriters. Influences (Gillie, Jay, etc.) yes but not actual ghostwriting.

Wayne may not have ghostwriters per se such as Puffy or Dre but someone has wrote a verse or two for him over the years. Hell everyone knows Drake is the real writer of Im Single. Just like i think Wayne wrotes Drake verse on Money to Blow. Sometimes one of these dudes may fukk with the beat or something better and can flow to it so the other one just lets him write the verse for him. The quality of Wayne's flow and lyrics have varied to much for me not to think he has had someone writing for him every once in a while at the least.
