Kanye did and still does make classics
How did he fall off when his last solo album was a classic?
Once again this is the only site that denies MBDTF as a classic. Look at it's rating on RYM or Metacritic. Universal acclaim after a whole gang load of reviews. What album has that. Realize when you hate on MBDTF you're in the minority
Almost every opinion on this forum is a super minority.
I still don't know why these dudes have so dedicated haters on some real shyt, this dude Loose talks about Kanye the most on this forum and yet he claims that Kanye has been wack since 05. shyt doesn't add up for these mentally challenged fukks.
Sooo much stupidity in this post, I don't know where to begin..
So in other words you have no point?
You say this like albums weren't declared classics based on a couple magazines and a couple circles. It's the exact same thing here except there are far more people for it. There are not many albums that have as many reviews and ratings as MBDTF that have still maintained such a high score on metacritic and RYM. It's not something that happens for every popular artistDoggy my point is your basing your argument on the internet. Message boards and random critic websites. "This is the only message board that denies its a class" Like wtf? You hear yourself? It's a good album, but not classic... and that doesn't make me a "Hater".
Tell me where's the influence amongst fans and his peers? Did this album make a statement within the world of rap at this time? Was it ground breaking? Did it convey anything new or thought provoking? Did it cause other rappers to take notice and step up their game?
You can't have a classic album with songs like Hell Of a Life, Lost in the World, or Who Will Survive in America ... not horrible songs, but enough mediocrity to keep it from being a classic
Nope.
I'm just going to speak for myself here, but just having a lot of good songs on every album isn't enough. I hate Watch the Throne for what it represents, so lets work with Cruel Summer. From the opener to "Higher," the album has a tremendous flow to it, great production, etc. Not nearly as good or evocative lyrically as My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy or any of Kanye's album's really (808s and Heartbreak included), but this isn't a Kanye album, right?
Cruel Summer proceeds to completely fall apart after that, in a really bad way, and the quality of the first 6 or 7 songs aren't enough to keep it elevated to great or even pretty good status. It's decent stuff all around, but this is Kanye's first big misfire, largely because it isn't marked with the careful attention to detail and consistent quality that marked all of his other projects, even with all of those good to great songs that I just mentioned.
As a matter of fact, you could have an album of nothing but good songs that I wouldn't recommend because of an element that I thought was extremely detrimental to the album, such as bad production, an overall listless feel or odious ideology.
I don't think many other people will feel this way, but that's my thought on the topic.

So this you keep talking about mediacritic like its the hop hip bible...so i decided to do a little research myself.
MBDTF - 94
Stillmatic - 69
Blueprint - 88
The Documentary - 72
Get Rich or Die Tryin - 73
You mean to tell me MBDTF >>> Stillmatic, Blueprint, The Documentary, and GRODT?
I'm telling you that your source, just like your argument, is complete garbage.
I'll say that. Easily the best and most consistent album (I said ALBUM, not random collection of songs) of those five albums. Not even remotely close.
