Jay and Lupe were the biggest wastes of talent ever. They were supposed to be the chosen ones respectively, like Nas was :mjcry:

Lupe dropped Fahrenehit series, food and liquor. The cool, and tetsuo and youth. Which are certified classics. Has platinum and gold plaques :stopitslime:

Jay Electronica prob lurks these boards so I hope he reads this when I say that you a bytch. had the game in a frenzy and too scared to drop. what happen to you? used to be one of my favorites.

:russ:

:deadmanny:

But for real, to be a jay electronica fan is the worst feeling in the world :to:

Real question

Is Exhibit C the last Hip Hop song that really blew up organically without a big label push?

I remember when Blaze first premiered it (along with Nas’s The Scientist) on a radio mix show. And wird of mouth was so bug they went ahead and dropped it as a single
Yep. Tony Touch show. There was pressure on him to drop it officially based on that radio show alone.

Definitely a huge moment. If it's not the last that blew up like you said, it's one of them.

I'll never forget the first time I heard Jay electronica. I was playing Fight Night Round 4 on my 360 doing my career when I heard Exhibit A playing on the menu. Song was so damn good, I made it the only playable track in the game lol.

Looked him up on Youtube and thats when I found the remix with Mos Def and Exhibit C. Jay became one of my favorites at that point.

That was almost 10 years ago.

Andre 3000, Jay Elec, and Biggie; all in my favorite rappers OAT and also some of the biggest "What ifs?" to touch the game.

Ironic.
