Kane was the man back then. He deserves to be on there. The peak of his career was during the Attitude Era.

Kane had a decent two years at first and was a good pop up partner for Rock in 2000 but Foley should be considered more important than Kane. Foley went over Taker for almost two years str8.

Triple H has no business being on there at all. He didn't start to pick up steam until the tail end of the Attitude Era which was around late 99-2000.
LOL Crazy talk. The tail end of the Attitude Era were big years for the Rock too. It still counts. Not saying what HHH did was greater than Rock but just because it was the tail end does not mean that it does not count. Im not even a HHH stan but Ill give him credit unlike so many of you here.

Kane had a fire debut and solid run up until Taker consumed him at Mania 98. After that, while he was a main eventer at times, his aura and stock dropped. The BOD 98 run and feud with Austin, the one day title reign and he gradually declined to doing tag team programs with XPAC before teaming with Too Cool. I love Kane but he's more alongside the lines of Big Show, Jericho etc. Guys who did good stuff in the era and were solid, but there were a select few who should be ranked above them.

HHH does belong on the shirt. He did more overall in the Attitude Era then Kane. His early DX run with HBK, the face DX run and feud with Nation. The slow build to the DX turn and solo run. Up until his first title reign and eventual run as the top heel with the Mcmahon connection. HHH's feuds with Rock and Foley are key. As well Austin. Take HHH out the equation and you dont have the bad guy and foil to these amazing feuds and performers on the other side.

Kane was great. Good dude, but he should not be ranked about HHH from this era. Come on now.

U wouldn't know of Cripple H if not for Rock and Foley...Rock literally passed him outright at Summerslam 98 as a draw and influence in the industry. He left DX and that whole legacy in the dirt and was running Raw 3 months later while Cripple H was still a goofball loser. They made Shawn the Rock's sidekick and had Chyna ETHER the fukk out of Cripple H to join Rock too:laugh:

Rock carried pro wrestling in 2000 when ECW and WCW were falling off big time. Booker was in WCW with no self integrity and acting like the Rock. At Cripple H's most pushed, the Rock had the higher ratings, broke records, had the most talked matches and segments, and everyone who wrestled the Rock instantly were treated like top heels by the crowd. Austin would try to punk Rock with that "If i dont found out who ran me over tonight, somebody is getting their Ass whomped" stuff and Rock would respond with "Somebody is getting their Ass whooped, Austin, but you ain't gonna be whooping the Rock's ass" to huge pops. He was the stand out that kept everyone hot.

Take Cripple H out..who cares. He only has that spot cause Taker got injured so long. Angle and Jericho would of been just as important across the ring from Rock. Rock and Benoit did a great buyrate at Fully Loaded. Cripple H was just a pushed entity. He was exposed as this two years later while Rock, Austin, and Taker grew in stature historically. He didn't have Rock carrying him for two years anymore and was dragging his feet after that initial N.Y. return.

It takes two to tango bro. Rock & Foley didn't work the matches and promos against thin air. HHH played a part. Period. You can sit here and say put Angle & Jericho in his shoes and it would be the same all day long. You can say it was because Taker was in injured. Who cares about that. At the end of the day , It didn't happen. Triple H was there, he was in that spot, he was in that position. He did his work against those guys. Ask Rock and Mick themselves and they would tell you this shyt. So its not my word. All you are doing is doing a massive discredit to a guy who helped some of the biggest stars of all time. Again, this is word from the men themselves who know what the fukk they are talking about. You also missed the point where I said IM NOT SAYING WHAT HHH DID WAS GREATER than Foley or Rock. No need to ramble on about how great Rock is. I, of all people know this already. We all know of the greatness Rock put up. Thats why I said its stupid to say the later years of the Attitude Era doesn't matter.

He played a foil...Undertaker played a foil the previous summer. It's not some two to tangle when u draw as much as Rock did. He was in main events with Lita running the game....got Trish more over than she ever was..Angle was legitimized at the top level Because of him...as was Jericho and Benoit.

Cripple H was just an opponent for a guy like that...Backlash 2000 was perfect for all involved but revolved around Rock and Steve Austin. Simple as that. It was the Blandy/Bryan thing....Charlotte/Sasha thing. Cripple H could best Rock one on one so they upped the ante.

Sure he was. As were alot of others. Vince should be on the shirt. Possibly Jericho as well. There are alot of guys who was the "man" back then. Guys who possibly deserve to be on the shirt but if you are going to pick 5 guys from that time period to place; HHH, Foley, Rock, Taker, Austin should be it. I don't see how anyone can say otherwise.
Dude shouldn't even be on there over HBK

Lol at staying in the ring and looking around with tears in your eyes to get sympathy applause, and all you get is laughs and a "YOU TAPPED OUT" chant

Cena did the same thing once after getting his ass kicked, musta been by Brock. He stayed in the ring and took his time hoping to get the respect of the crowd for a hard-fought battle. Instead they chanted "fukk YOU CENA" :mjlol: You know he felt some type a way

:laff:

Anyone got a LANK to this?

People will say HBK embarrassed Hogan at SS with the overselling but if you watch the end of the match it's Hogan who gets the last laugh because he milks the fukk out of the big boot and doesn't deliver the leg drop for like another solid 10 seconds. Even had time to pose for the fans before he did it.

Clean 3 count :heh:

When the goblin hit that big boot.
The leg drop always was made bigger than life by his ability to play up to the crowd to the detriment of the opponent after rocky III.
Nobody ever really recovered as a draw from that leg drop.
The leg drop was the original shovel.

I'll never understand why HHH likes to downplay Foley like he does...maybe it's because Foley got over like he did without juicing and politicking lol

He tries to play this workrate guy vs hardcore junkie bs with foley.
Like hhh is this great workrate based work.
He has no moveset besides reverse neck breaker sleeper, punch kick pedigree.

He only started using the spine buster to try to close out psychology inring work wise because the rock had an even better wwe neuteured spine buster modified one into an actual pin.

Cripple ache actually ended the boom period.
when he went over show/foley/rock at mania 2000.

WM 2000 sure was a mess even though that was still a hot period. You couldn't really tell it was a mess though because the crowds were still ape-shyt back then. But this was a show where The Kat vs Terri Runnels, Kane/Rikishi vs Roaddogg/X-Pac, and T&A vs Head Cheese made up 1/3 of the card :mjlol:
