In retrospect, 50s whole movement was corny af.
Not at the beginning. The early g-unit mixtapes. The rollout of get rich. In the club. Was fire. The hip-hop community was rocking with him. The drawn out beef with murder inc and the massacre being trash killed that vibe for most black 50 fans.

This was actually when he was desperate and declining, and losing what grip he still had post 2006, and the shifting ground under his seat, as Lil' Wayne and Kanye West were pushing the genre far away from the now retrograde mindless thuggery of G-Unit and 50.

Amusement Park, had no part of any sort of sex appeal, and there was never anything sexual about that contrived nonsense. Pure arrogance on 50's part. Candy Shop, as contrived as it was, at least as a 19 year old, had some feel of sexuality to it, even if it was corny all the same. Candy Shop had better production, and hook. That song actually got play at parties, and drunken bedroom hookups, I remember very well.

This was basically like the end of Scarface, all roided up and acting crazy lol

Massacre is my favorite 50 album, as a black 50 fan he just got stale, he dropped way too much material from 03-06, mixtapes, albums, etc. Jimmy Iovine told Fif to stop releasing so much music and let the fans miss him but 50 was like Nah. Also 50's music never evolved, nikka was filthy rich and the hottest musican in music and still making shoot em up, bang bang raps.

I was actually rooting for Kanye to when the sales battle and I was a HUGE 50 stan in the years prior to that.

Also the LOX dropping so many 50/G Unit disses really damaged the G Unit brand. Not to mention Game and his GUNOT movement.

Don't feed the troll. Massacre was the second best selling album of 2005, losing only by a 100.000 copies to Mariah Carey. They both did 5 million plus. The album was hot, and the consensus was that It could've been shorter. 16 joints would do the job. But it was bumping everywhere.
