I was the biggest G-Unit stan around between 03-07, to the point where I was actively seeking out dudes likes Nyce, Mazaradi Fox, and 40 Glocc, and Game and RR’s disses toward them were vicious and exposed them. G-Unit was teflon until they hit them with rocket launchers. They were never the same after those disses, and combined with subpar music, they were going downhill fast. I fukks with 50, his music...not a fan of the social media bullshyt over the years...but I'm just keeping it a buck. Public perception of G-Unit changed after the Game, Lox and Cam disses. Facts is facts. Them dudes wasnt just coming with half ass disses. Them nikkas was straight up saying some of the most vulgar, disrespectful shyt you could think of about them all the while laughing about the shyt.

Doesn't help his music was also generic, and garbage in 07 .. Ye/Wayne were pushing the sound, while 50 was peddling generic bullshyt and pushing this "I'm the king" Tekashi type energy

GRODT soundtrack didnt do great numbers even though it was a great album, and the movie flopped. Then Banks barely went gold, if that, in Summer 06. Curtis did better numbers than I expected, but the Kanye sales competition and getting Timbo/Timberlake for a single at the time was a cheat code.

Yeah that Banks second album underperforming (along with being leaked) was the nail in the coffin for G-Unit to me. They lost their hold on Mainstream rap & Interscope stopped promoting them heavy.
