Lately its been cool to dimiss Luda as not aging well and having a weak catalogue

He bout to remind a lot of people why he was that dude

Funny you say that, i recently listened to his "Welcome To Atlanta" verse and it reminded me how dope he was
& especially how ill his flow was.

I actually fukked with Luda HARD during the Word Of Mouf days.

What's with the Massacre slander here?

It had a handful of radio singles but it was TWENTY TWO joints long. Besides the fact that it's way too long, it had a good dozen joints on that album are hard as nails.

Most of Massacre sounds more street, gritty, and closer to Power of the Dollar, Guess Who's Back, and the G-Unit mixtapes than GRODT did to be honest.

:manny: A lot of the Massacre aged well besides the Scott Storch singles and a couple other Em produced joints.
Amusement park was on Curtis, not The Massacre

25 likes and this aint even remotely true ... not singling you out personally but there's been way worse fall offs with way worse results
name a song by an artist as big as 50 going into an album (massacre did 8 million) that was a worse lead major single

Song was terrible, fukk was he thinkin? This was the beginning of the end.
At least have someone like Usher sing the hook:dahell:
I Get Money, Ayo Tech and the battle with Kanye kinda saved him but it was over after that.

not saying I like the song or CD ... but alot of cats put out songs and never charted again
50 still getting top 10 hits every now and then

Did Nelly ever chart again after the Tim Mcgraw song?
Marky Mark - Good Vibrations? You can just name huge people, who never had a song again after weird shyt they put out.

comparing a one hit wonder who was almost a gag artist like hammer or markey mark isnt an equal comparison at all

That shyt with tim mcgraw for nelly whether you liked the song or not was a MASSIVE hit, one of the biggest of 2010s period, this shyt was a flop and a total trash song from an artist that just had 10-15 hits the previous 3 years

Yeah, there was a point in 2007 or 2008 when a package of steroids was intercepted at the Interscope offices, or something like that. It may have even been a part of the investigation into Jimmy Henchmen's drug trafficking ring, which used music industry addresses to ship cocaine across the country.

Can't find the article, but I read it in 2007 or 2008.

alot of people dont understand that physical vitality correlates very directly with success and the law of attraction. Steroids can be the cheat code. I remember when I lived in Montreal one of my haitian brehs told me that the Hells Angels were forcing their members and associates to use steroids, at the risk of getting violated if they rebuked.

you said superstar with a detrimental song... all of those songs were detrimental
MC hammer wasnt a one hit wonder at all :yeshrug: you want comparison with what you would call "an artist with momentum" but just like your nelly example 50 still sells... he just had a hit song 2 years ago.
How could falling off, which happened before amusement park being detrimental when you still have number 1 songs? Nelly didnt have any in over 10 years but you argued for that. I completely agree that amusement park was garbage for the most part, and a total flop and failure but I dont think that was the detrimental pivotal moment that destroyed momentum. He was already making bad music on that whole tape. I think you are meaning to say ... biggest flop in a persons career... you can name any artist that had a terrible song, but if they kept going its not detrimental anymore. Diddy, Em, Snoop, Wayne, Jay, Nas etc all had flop songs but they didnt stop making music so it covers that up. I wouldnt even say Wayne fell off or had a detrimental song, Id say the same thing happened where music evolved and he put out too much content for 5 million people to care. Big Daddy Kane doing playgirl magazine was seen as detrimental but he could have also kept going and pushed through that. This 50 situation was kind of the same thing, but I didnt look at it as super corny.... cause like other people said, he already did candy shop and just a lil bit. I think if Amusement park came out as a Massacre extra nobody would have even cared or batted an eye to it, its just not a strong enough song to be a single.

With that being said I do agree with you 100% I'm just talking shyt and extending the convo here. You are one of my favorite posters on here.

So Cal
The Lox, Game and Cam'Ron disses definitely put a dent in 50 armor. It took a bit away from that "unbeatable" aura that G-Unit had at that time which was a major part of 50's image. They clowned the shyt outta him and paved the way for alot of other artists to come at him. His image definitely took a hit after those disses.
nikkas couldn't even go gold. :mjlol: but they putting a dent in 50 armor. The overstating of ny regional acts is ridiculous on here.
