Wake.
Man I played TE (on an unbalanced line) in HS and my first 2 years our offense was stale as fukk. I literally only got to run 1 route, a little 5 yard hitch. That coach ended up getting fired, new coach came in and had us slinging that rock all over the field .

Had a young @distinguishedNOW like :blessed:

Naw bruh, we passed like a muthafucca...but flag football was poppin' outchea for youth football.
You couldn't get a first getting ten yards - you only got a fresh set if you got two completions.

By the time I got to HS we was eating off West Coast Offense. We had two All-City TEs.

LMAO, I just thought it was that way around here where youth football is :flabbynsick:

Figured they ran more balanced offenses in other parts of the country.

:mjlol: Yep that was the offense we ran in middle school. I swear we literally called a passing play maybe 2 times a game.

The wing-t was basically feature the fullback. Traps, bellys and sweeps. The few pass plays were breakoffs from those plays. We lined up in the shotgun a grand total of 0 times over my high school career.

:heh: What's the point of point of play Zone coverage if you know the offense only gonna attempt maybe 1 pass a game?

Pretty much. My coach was basically Voight from Varsity Blues...never lost a game in the 70's then became a shyt coach because he refused to adapt. What an a$$hole.

Yeah, I forgot all about that. In the Wing-T offense, the Fullback is the featured RB instead of the Tailback.

Do youth teams still run the Wing-T offense nowadays? IMO, they'd be better off running Wildcat & direct snapping to the RB. A mobile QB would be even better.
