there are some good remakes, both foreign and old American movies.
the 80's Scarface is a remake, The Departed was a good remake even thought i prefer the OG, Cape Fear, i thoguht the Carrie remake was cool (although admittedly, I haven't seen the OG), The Ring was good, Major Payne is good
there are movies i think that could benefit from a remake IF it was done well. Nightmare On Elm St could have been fukking SICK but they fukked it all up.

you don't know the difference between remake & sequel?
I usually shyt on remakes but reading through this thread made me realize their really is a lot of great remakes.

the og is a million times better
my girl threw it on the other day and we turned it off an hour in
CGM is way too cool and 'pretty' to play carrie. her acting was awful in this IMO she seemed like she was TRYING to play a socially awkward girl. when that dude took her to prom it didnt look out of the norm
the og portrays this way more naturally.
Those are sequels, not remakes.
I'm a be real, I don't have a problem with most of these Remakes/Reboots because I've usually never seen the original movies & they're weren't a priority for me to watch.When ever these Remakes/Reboots are announced watching the originals movies finally become a priority for me to watch by the time the remake comes out.
