People forget that Redman was holding it down for the East while the West was kinda running shyt with Gangsta rap. Whut...dropped in 92' :wow: Redman doesn't get the credit he deserves IMO....definitely one of the greats.

Dare IZ a Darkside is his most creative album, Red was on that dust back then and it shows....Muddy Watters is his most complete album though....I can't choose one over the other.

For the record ...

I know the majority of Reggie fans will say Whut? Thee Album was their favorite release... but that Dare Iz A Darkside was CLASSIC and my fav by far. THE RED TAPE! He infulenced Raekwon to freak OB4CL joint purple.
Whut? Thee Album, Dare and Muddy Waters are must haves.

"Switchin' up speeds like Bruce Lee, ridin' a Fuji in a movie"

DIAD is in my top 5 rap albums of all time breh...shyt was so grimey and full of funk...red ripped that shyt to shreds...also has the GOAT soopaman luva IMO

that album sounds so different from the other stuff in his discography..reading years later that red was in a serious drug binge....taking all kinds of stuff and "seeing shyt" in his own words making DIAD made me love it even more...shame dude wont perform any songs from it anymore

I had the pleasure of smoking a blunt with the dude, one time (he used to live by where my mother is). He is one of the downest dudes I have met. It was me, Naughty, some of my friends from school, like 7 or 8 of us just lampin and shyt, one of my favorite times ever. Blazing, eating sandwiches from Coopers, looking at eat other like :myman: Some straight Jersey shyt.

Also lol at that directors commentary, he was absolutely right. Brick City in the early-mid 90's was out of fukkin control. New Jersey Drive didn't even do that area justice, b.

Anyway here is one of my favorite Redman songs.

The last brother who wanted to battle me, I started :piss: in his eye :troll:

But yea to me Red is top 10 all time.
