This was bad movie. I was really stunned how bad this movie was. I went to the movies expecting something good and then had to tell people not to see it. Lucas sold LucasFilms to Disney right after this, iirc. I think this was the last LucasFilm release when owned by him.

David Oyewole's character chasing the white women was weird.

The way Terrance Howard and Cuba Gooding acted in the movie was stupid.

Michael B. Jordan had one scene in the movie, iirc.

Sadly I don't remember anything from the movie at all. I would like to revisit the flick since I like Nate Parker but man I just don't want to endure such a movie again

My lord. Just 10 minutes in the script is so bad. It's like the script was written by white people trying to sound like black people in the 20-40s

Bad all around.

• Poor acting.
• Poor CGI which is a shock considering Lucas has Industrial Light and Magic.
• Poor directing and film. It was done by someone who worked in television and it shows. It looks like a television movie instead of a war epic.
• Really bad storyline.

This movie had a ton of potential if it was done right. It performed so badly that the proposed follow up of the Red Tails taking part of the Civil Rights Movement was canned.

Just finished the movie. It wasn't THAT bad. I kinda enjoyed it.

Gonna watch Hidden Figures now
