It's not just hacks, it's great movie directors also making shyt movies.

Ridley Scott made a fukkin Alien, Blade Runner and Gladiator!

His recent movies like Napoleon, Gladiator 2, Alien Covenant are underwhelming.

Majority of Hollywood these days is quantity over quality.

I tried with napoleon.
I really did.
Napoleon felt like first knight in France. Just without the rock music. Like one of those wack biopics made in the most cliche way. I really tried with that movie. Napoleon was too simped out for me in that.

Ridley Scott's problem is i think he listens to the studio to much when redoing his sequels. Then never adds anything to the sequels. That made the originals great. Woth aliens. It is a simple fix to that shyt. You have this new character become who pulls Ripley and Newt into the fold against the corporation. Then relaunch aliens with a new Newt. To make up for Alien 3.

I feel asleep on Gladiator ii. The main character does not look like a hero to me.
Same shyt wrong with dune.
You can not book a lame duck whatever hero.
That shyt felt worse than the second 300. So I went to sleep. I fell asleep in red one but it had more to it to try again than Gladiator ii. When I tried again with red one. It paid off more than I ever gave it a chance to be.

In genre.
it pays off better than given credit for.

All the marketing for everything is bad. Since we are in an age. Where they should have never got rid of rhe analog tv and radio system.
Now there is no main place to market anything.
As getting rid of those systems. Created refugees out of the legacy of people.
who used that medium. So eventually we could technologically be where we are.
Yet when they got rid of both analog systems. It ruined journalism. So no one has to give any facts.
Plus it was like the projects being torn down. You made refugees out of every American ever. To have to find and use some new alternative. That singularly was and is NOt as robust as the analog system in a number of ways. From permeation to perception. Now....you have no real tv to market anything. No outlet or station to really make it. Plus funnell dollars into. That will result in a profit.

It is all fukked up. Plus I feel nuffin will draw anymore in blockbuster real ideals ever again from this. As getting rid of both. Took away how people generally knew to try or use anything.
Now that is not there.

How is anyone supposed to know or find out about any product. Let alone the product.
they want to see.
the socalled blockbuster return For.

Nobody in general knows the difference or quality of any product. The way they market products now. There is no way for any product to gain a wave. As none of the outlets. it could be marketed to hold weight. Music is never going to really draw again as well from this. Nuffin is gonna draw. It is gonna be all digital fraud numbers.

Hollywood can't book a hero for shyt these days.

All these lightweights trying to be a hero. Hell no.

Same with females, if you want a good action film hero, you gotta hire a woman that's on a taller side like Weaver, Theron, Uma Thurman, etc. I'm not believing in an action film where a main hero is built like a bumblebee.

Even asians who are small understood they needed an action hero who was taller than average, which is why Chow Yun-Fat did well in John Woo films. Dude was a star for a few years. And so on and so on.

Like if my action movie hero is short, he better be damn good at martial arts like the raid or do some crazy stunts like Tom Cruise.

The internet really fractured everything. These days everyone gets their marketing, their news, their music, and entertainment from their personalized algorithms that specifically cater themselves to what that person wants to see or hear instead of what actually draws.
That's the same reason that music will never be the same. We'll never see another Michael Jackson-level superstar ever again in our lifetimes, since the entertainment world is so fractured after the rise of the internet.
Today's top artists are propped up by (like you said) digital fraud numbers.

Yeah, kids don't really have a Luke Skywalker, or a Marty McFly, or a Rocky Balboa to look up to anymore. I was watching Hajime no Ippo the other night and it dawned on me that kids today aren't growing up with any real heroes anymore. They're not even coming up with movies, TV shows or toys that reinforce the Hero's Journey--and how that entails hard work, sacrifice, integrity, honor, redemption, learning from failure, overcoming adversity, and having good morals.

3k2ef5mxm5ma1.gif

Ippo was all about hard work, sacrifice, and hustling to better oneself.
(George Lucas) Star Wars was all about training, discipline, letting go, and learning to see the good in others.
Even Marty McFly learned a valuable lesson about picking your battles and being the bigger person.

Nowadays kids are only living for likes and followers. They don't understand family, morals, and integrity because they were never taught those things.

It’s all manufactured because modern Hollywood is morally bankrupt- so much so that they purposely go out of their way to avoid writing virtuous characters. Because writing an in-character Luke Skywalker would remind them of everything they are not.

Getting back on topic, I thought Red One was alright. It was a fun holiday flick for what it was, but not something I would go out of my way to rewatch multiple times.

Haven't seen this, really don't plan to, but a good chunk of the $250 million budget could've went to the actor's salaries and demands.

It does.

It's too dark and ugly looking to be a Christmas film
This movie wanted to be edgy and family friendly at the same time. I like the comedy as it starts off and thought maybe it could be a decent parody maybe?

Very quickly it’s just directionless. Looking back a lot of events in the film isn’t coherent as people have mentioned and too long. This film felt too long as well.

If you told me about the beginning and end of the film I would think ok this could be at worst decent. But everything in between was a mess.

Chris Evans did a decent job in a different role than he is used to. The Rock’s performance was pretty bad.

Good point. I think thats why anime became
Mainstream cause they still follow that underdog hero arc like Naruto. American movies it seems like its only as successful as the villain

Plus star wars was an indie film.

Major movie houses never figured out how to actually make a blockbuster.
They tried to misappropriate the blockbuster.
from the people's clan.
after the release and success to ban of sweet sweet back[pause]. Yet major movie houses never found out.
how to actually garner.
a blockbuster return at the box office.
