Glad I didnt leave the house and spend money to see this. Took every Christmas cliche and mixed in some action. If you gonna play super straight man you gotta have a strong story. All that money on Dwayne, Cap and graphics instead of a good story.

this movie somehow doesn't have enough christmas. i don't know if that's a dumb critique or not, but i think it's the fatal flaw. its just the Rock and Chris Evans looking like the Rock and Chris Evans in some dumb setpieces bookended by a Santa who doesn't look like Santa being Santa. there wasn't enough Christmas sprinkled in throughout the movie. the Lucy Liu shyt should have been more christmassy. they go to a beach and fight bad cgi snowmen, they visit Krampus's hell layer which was ok, and then they get stuck in a witch's green snowglobe. the north pole is dark as fukk and not cheery at all, etc. probably dumb critiques, but it made the movie a non-starter for me. i'm sure they "weren't really going for that," but they should have gone for that.

also Kiernan Shipka as the villain was ridiculously bad casting.

I saw it on Prime.

It's a good movie but, it's formulaic.

It should not have cost $250 million to make.

They could've replaced The Rock with Jason Momoa/Bautista/John Cena.

He's basically turned into the film version of No Limit Records

Just enough hits to overlook the trash and quantity quantity quantity

I can't believe he convinced them to pay him $50 million for this movie.

All of his billion-dollar blockbusters or mega blockbusters were either ensemble films that were already popping or reboot movies (Fast & Furious, Jumanji).

Original movies led solely by him made alot less. I don't understand the logic.

you'd hate what they pay denzel then when in ratio to the movie revenues hes been in :lupe: or is this only a critique for the rock :lupe:

Denzel gets $10-30 mil per movie and his movies dont do a fraction of the movies yall call flops for the rock :lupe:

( I think both get paid accurately to their draw by the way)
