Finally copped this game.

Almost fell asleep twice.

I'm like 6 hours in, still getting tutorial notifications and game feels sluggish, slow, controls feel like glue.

This feels more like a simulator.

Just got done finishing the first debt collecting for Strauss.

This shyt gonna pick up soon?

So far I've been spending most my time hunting and shyt just to try and upgrade first.

The beginning is by far the slowest portion of the game and I struggled to get through it, too. Once you leave the mountains and settle into the first camp ( Horsehoe Overlook? ) the game opens up tremendously. The game itself is a slow burn and after beating the main story and both epilouges, that was clearly intentional. The story simply hits harder when you actually take the time to bond with the characters & do the little things such as the stranger missions and taking care of your horse. It does pick up after the slow opening, but dont expect it to ever move like GTA or Assassins Creed.

it's meant to be like this... at some point you're going to do a mission and have more money than you'll know what to do with unless you blow it on clothes.. I haven't worried about money since chapter 3

:ohhh:

I literally just found this out now but for the hunting enthusiasts theres a number of hunting requests you can do for some woman called Mrs. Hobbs. She's got some very easy to miss posters up in train stations/post offices with different animal requests. They just look like one of the many random posters/ads you see on the walls but you'll get a prompt to inspect them once you get close enough.

The first one is in the train station in Valentine but you have to complete the stranger mission strand with the two prisoners first to unlock them.

Edit: Seems like you have just have to inspect the one poster in Valentine and the other lists get mailed to you once you send her the pelts/carcasses on the previous lists.

Edit II: This was pretty lacklustre. I've done 4/5 lists and you only really get asked to hunt those tiny lil birds that you can barely see and other small animals like Squirrels, Frogs, Rats etc. the 5th and final list isnt unlocked until the epilogue :comeon:

It's annoying how you cant just finish these sidequests as Arthur (bones, legendary fish, these lists). Seem stupid to have JM randomly finish things off 8 years later.

This might be the hardest game EVER to avoid getting sidetracked and doing the story missions, and thats dope cause the fukkin story is great, i been on chapter 6 for 3 months :deadmanny:.

I can never just start this game up and go do a mission, SOMETHING ALWAYS HAPPENS
