Completed the Poisonous Trail treasure hunt which nets you 4 gold bars for $2000 and you can find a jewelry bag in there worth $50 :blessed:

On the way there though, discovered this backwater ass town called Van Horn...the hotel I stayed in was absolutely atrocious. :scust: The bath I got was from a big burly woman who lowkey sounded like she had some testosterone in her system. :dame: Just riding up in there, I had to save a woman who was being drowned by her husband, got into a stranger quest with some Hordor looking mutant and his "mommy" handler (:hhh:), and some a$$hole I had to beat to death outside of the saloon because he thought shyt was sweet while poppin off drunk.

Got the fukk up out of there and found a house with smoke coming out the chimney so I go check it out with no REAL intent to cause harm (:duck:). Place looks abandoned and on the basement floor, I see what looks like 2 dead bodies next to a pile of money. :ohhh: Them motherfukkers were playing possum and tried to get the drop on me :snoop:, but they didn't know who the fukk I was. :birdman: Grabbed another $50 and got up out of there. Apparently it was a homestead to be robbed too because I got a trophy for it.

Now I got $2350 and don't eem know what to do with it. Might have to roll up in Saint Denis for real and try my luck

I was just riding through the countryside when a prisoner was being transported to the jail...

Heard the woman's voice...

"This is an injustice! He was beating on me everyday. I had to defend myself."

A black woman? Nah, maybe it was just the voice actor they hired...

Used the binoculars as I trialed them... It was definitely an ancestor.:wow:

So I got the strap.:birdman:

I was clumsy as fukk, almost killed my horse, and struggled with finding out how to actually get the cage open:bryan: I checked the lawmen's bodies thinking one might have a key...that would have been hot. I was struggling because I was afraid of killing her w/ the shotgun blast.

But I did it.:lawd:

Yo! I helped that same woman the other day :heh:

So this completely flew over my head....Arthur caught his TB from that Thomas Downes guy, thats the guy who he collects the debt from for Strauss :ohhh:

If you watch it back you'll see him spit in Arthurs face by accident.

Crazy how such a seemingly insignificant interaction had such a huge impact on how the game panned out.

Who's been back to Armadillo yet? I just went back and the place is on fire, lawless and full of outlaws and Mexicans :mjlol:

First thing that happened when I went back was one of those white dot events with a bunch of Mexicans threatening to shoot up the sheriff office if they didn't release one of their guys, you get the chance to intervene but I just observed and watched them shoot the sheriff once their guy was released.

New Austin looks incredible with current gen graphics, especially during the evening.

But it just doesn't make any sense exploring it with John Marston, in RDR1 he acted as if he'd never stepped foot anywhere past West Elizabeth. As much as I loved playing through the game and the epilogue, I just think it was a horrendous decision to kill Arthur. I kinda felt he would have got out the gang and found somewhere in the desert to start over, especially after his doctor told him he's be better off going somewhere out west where it's hot and dry.
Doesn't surprise me it looks that good, there are Vice City map mods for GTA V that look real good on the RAGE engine...

I just realized that's why Rockstar they made a big deal about modders porting over the RDR1 map to the V engine and shut that project down...:ohhh:

i'm really bummed arthur died.

imo he was a way better protagonist that john. i was also looking forward to free roaming with him and going hunting after the story. to me he's more of an outdoorsman than john and not tied down by having a family.

the moments after learning he had TB and him trying to do as much good in the world before he passes were so sad. the saddest story rockstar has told since roman died in gta iv. :to:

RIP Arthur :to:

one of the very few decent white men in that time period. :mjcry:

Yeah I like what they done with his stance on slavery, make sure you do the stranger mission with the homeless guy outside the bank in Rhodes.

But yeah most people are sharing the same thoughts from what I'm reading. I literally avoided most of the stranger missions, hunting legendary animals and just exploring the world because I planned on doing all of that with Arthur after the story. You're right though he's defo more of an outdoorsman than John as well, just doing shyt like trotting along a stream felt more satisfying with him than John for some reason.

The funny thing was I actually thought Arthur might still be alive because no one killed him, he was just left to die. I thought he might pop up again in New Austin somewhere after we play as John (which is another thing I planned on doing as Arthur). But then we link up with Charles again and he mentions he buried him....cant lie my heart sank and I felt nothing but disappointment.

It just doesn't make sense to kill him off and play as John again....he just built a ranch, got married and wants to focus on his family so what sense does it make to go back out into this world getting into gun fights and committing fukkeries crimes.
