I took me a good 20 minutes to tame that shyt, not counting the time it took to get to the mountains. :Mjmad:

Pretty sure mine is broken. I jumped on it and was riding while it was bucking for at least 5 mins but it never stopped

Edit:

Broke it in 30 secs. Hold back on the analog as you jump on while calming it. Don't listen to the instructions because they're wrong. Moving the horse in any direction does nothing

The default controls, honestly I don't have a problem with the control scheme in the game.

I was in the swamplands and rode past a escaped prisoner. I hogtied him up and threw him on the back of my horse with the intention of possibly getting a bounty. Can you believe a witness accused me of kidnapping


Sidenote: What weaponry are y'all using?

I roll with two revolvers, sawn off shotty and my bolt action repeater...

Do that gunslinger challenge...

You get rare revolvers and a rare Mauser pistol, best one being the dude that gives you the quest...

Used the binoculars as I trialed them... It was definitely an ancestor.


So I got the strap.

I was clumsy as fukk, almost killed my horse, and struggled with finding out how to actually get the cage open I checked the lawmen's bodies thinking one might have a key...that would have been hot. I was struggling because I was afraid of killing her w/ the shotgun blast.

But I did it.

What aiming settings yall using?

Im messing with Wide Lock on and Free aim with Standard FPS but I am gonna stick to Free Aim,just need to practice with it on that Micah Bell mission

Yup.

It was the second prisoner escape I assisted.

The first was this dude in the traditional stripped prisoner garb... He wanted me to shoot the chain connecting his feet.

I was actually going to just leave him but I felt like he'd have just died out there in the wilderness like that. I couldn't just turn from him and if someone else saved him...I don't know how karma works in the game and nikka might be on some revenge so I shot the chain.

Breh kept getting mad close to my horse while trying to thank me and I just kept circling him and he also tipped me off to a house robbery.

I was but went with it, first he sent me up to check on his sister who was getting dressed
During dinner they acted like a couple even tho they were brother and sister the way they talked about the food made me think they were cannibals too. Needless to say I refused a second drink and lit their tops up bytch had some valuable silver on her too

You chose the correct path helping John...

Going back for the money is the "bad ending", Arthur still ends up dead...

I also agree that Arthur is the best protagonist in a R* game since Marston...That said I'm not mad they let us play as John again. What upsets me is based off the epilogue we once won't be getting any single player DLC unless they do undead nightmare again...

When you finish the epilogue (which is another 5-10 hours of gameplay) you'll see what I mean and make sure you don't skip the credits...

Yeah I just finished it. Even though I'm still annoyed about Arthur it was actually dope playing as John again in the epilogue, real nostalgic. Going back to New Austin for that mission with Sadie was borderline surreal, basically a mirror image of that mission in RDR1 when you have that shoot out in the same spot early in the game. It's crazy how it all looks with current gen graphics as well. Theres a spot looking over the desert, river and into Mexico....the view is probably the best I've seen in the game so far.

But yeah I watched the credits to the end...kinda fukked up seeing how happy they was but knowing what their fate is.

Who's been back to Armadillo yet? I just went back and the place is on fire, lawless and full of outlaws and Mexicans

First thing that happened when I went back was one of those white dot events with a bunch of Mexicans threatening to shoot up the sheriff office if they didn't release one of their guys, you get the chance to intervene but I just observed and watched them shoot the sheriff once their guy was released.

New Austin looks incredible with current gen graphics, especially during the evening.

But it just doesn't make any sense exploring it with John Marston, in RDR1 he acted as if he'd never stepped foot anywhere past West Elizabeth. As much as I loved playing through the game and the epilogue, I just think it was a horrendous decision to kill Arthur. I kinda felt he would have got out the gang and found somewhere in the desert to start over, especially after his doctor told him he's be better off going somewhere out west where it's hot and dry.
