It makes sense Laga 16 is peaty and you enjoy it.

Ardbeg 10 is also peaty and price is reasonable (around $60).

I heard Talisker 18 is preferred drink for people who enjoy peaty scotch but I haven't tried and for $160 I'm not buying on peaty scotch:lolbron:
I just popped my bottle of Ardbeg Uigeadail. This shyt is stronger than Laphroaig. :picard:

I had some Total Wine gift certificate money the other day, and I used it to partially pay for something called Ardbeg "Scorch."

It tastes like the smell you get when you pour water on a BBQ grill. Or as if you mixed Laphroaig and Ardbeg Uigeadail and set it on fire for a while.

I'd have to work my way up to that. I couldn't even finish the Uigeadail I poured last night. Was not mentally prepared for how strong it was. :pachaha:

I didn't realize it has 54% alcohol content, which is higher than anything else I've had so far. Could definitely feel the difference.

Came back to the Uigeadail again and it's just not as good as Lagavulin or even Laphroaig. It seems like die hard scotch lovers swear by it but it's not hitting right for me at this time. :francis:

Part of the appeal is that it's cask strength (It's 108 proof). The cask strength version of Lagavulin costs a lot more.
I DO prefer the cask strength version of Laphroaig over Uigeadail though.

Have you ever tried Yamazaki whiskey?

I think I have but it wasn’t the right one tho and I didn’t enjoy it…which one exactly?

if memory recalls, someone recommended the one that was aged either 12 or 18 years but I couldn’t find it and settled for another version

ok…then I think 18 was recommended but I settled for 12…I liked the hibiki more tho

silly question cuz I wasn’t really much of a whiskey drinker

but is there a noticeable difference in taste between 12 and 18?
