I know this thread is for movies but Carnivale, on HBO, was a damn good show. Sad they only made two seasons.

Bumping for more recommendations. Movies I personally enjoyed/found interesting however they won't be for everyone, keep that in mind.

Maniac is a 1980 American psychological slasher film directed by William Lustig and written by Joe Spinell and C. A. Rosenberg. The plot focuses on a disturbed and traumatized serial killer who scalps his victims.

Bill Whitney seems to have it all. His family is wealthy and he lives in a mansion in Beverly Hills, California. He's popular at his high school, looks to be a shoo-in for class president, has a cute cheerleader girlfriend and owns a new Jeep Wrangler to drive around in. Despite this, he feels as though he does not fit in with his family or their high-society friends. Starring Angela Bettis, Jeremy Sisto, Anna Faris, and James Duval, the film follows a lonely young woman (Bettis) traumatized by a difficult childhood, and her increasingly desperate attempts to connect with the people around her.

Enemy is a 2013 Canadian-Spanish psychological thriller film directed by Denis Villeneuve, loosely adapted by Javier Gullón from José Saramago's 2002 novel The Double.[4] The film stars Jake Gyllenhaal as two men who are physically identical, but different in terms of personality.

Don't look up anything else about this movie before watching the whole thing. This is a movie for fans of horror, documentaries and people who like to watch ID Discovery. Other people might enjoy it too but it's a pretty messed up movie and it's not for everyone.
